He did that so that ovulation (with cycle of 4 weeks) could happen during landlord visit (every 5 weeks)And he even had to make it every 5 weeks instead of usual once a month, because it would have broken his game.

Bad excuse is a bad excuse.
With that landlord you get same generic sex scene you get with everybody else. Nothing unique. So there is simply no excuse.

Yeah, the ability to revoke consent at any time without the NPC understanding and without consequences makes so many pieces of this game seem worthless.

you can edit the character in the savefile, he's flagged as "evil_landlord" or something like that, not as easy as the npc creator but it works fine
Yeah, but that would have also meant actually having to do REAL WORK instead of pointless "add on NPC that amounts to just a time sink".

Development was on hold as far as I'm concerned so I'm glad to get actual new content. I was fully expecting for the dev to rework the poorly implemented lesbian stuff or move to something like futas or catgirls lmao
It is a shame that as expected it will arrive at a glacial pace. In 2 years we will have what should have been a monthly or bimonthly update's worth of content.

I'm more interested in when the author will add femdom and a chastity belt. I hope that this will happen at least by 2035. Well, I can wait until 2050 of course, but I'm afraid I'll have to play the game from the graveyard.

the sad thing is the system for that already exists - if you consent to sleeping with your boss for a promotion and then withdraw consent after, you don't get the benefit. Laziness is the only excuse for SO not including it here.

Yup. The systems are all in place. Imagine if your boss responded to you withdrawing consent during the act based on his personality traits? You know, using the systems that are in place in order to actually allow for a narrative around the sex rather than just a series of disconnected formulaic sex scenes with too much clicking?
I think when SO created the wedding scene they realized that it was a lot of work to create different scenarios and gave up on creating actual content entirely.
I don't get why noone tries to replicate this game on unity or renpy. Feels like this would be a perfect fit on mobile. Also add in the possibility of better modding support and a team that can increment on the game much faster than that lazy hack developer and this idea is solid.
There have been many who tried and none of them ever actually reported back on their efforts, even years later. Presumably its too hard to do or no one has the time.
Closest you'll get is stuff like Accidental Woman, which is more focused on coding mechanics just for the sake of having them than focused on the game design or the porn.
Lilith's Throne, which has a variety of issues of its own and is similarly spaghetti-code and slow dev time. (LT's dev keeps setting deadlines and always misses them, then spends days apologizing instead of working on getting it done. I wish they'd just drop the deadlines thing since it just seems to stress them out and make the update take longer than it would otherwise.)
Or the various Era Games, which have been around since the 2000s and have hundreds of people from all over the world working on them. All coded in EraBasic, which is an anachronistic behemoth of antique spaghetti-code that's been grafted onto each other, forked apart, modified, and re-tooled many times over the last two decades. Even with so many people working on the Era Games, their development can go at a snails' pace at times as well.
Finally you have Degrees of Lewdity. Which is the only exception to the various problems the others have, though its fetish content is far more niche. (Almost exclusively focused on Loli, Shota, Furry, Bestiality, and Non-Con.) Honestly, not exactly that surprising that DoL is the one with the least development woes, the most content, and the best design. The Lolicons and Furries tend to be much better coders/planners than the other fetish communities.
There's only one other game like this I know of and its been in development for years with no demo. (Dev doesn't wanna release it until its legit done. 1.0 versioning and all.) Most similar to Lilith's Throne. It keeps changing its name and I can't remember what title it goes by now.
Those aren't really the same kind of game... I can't really think of a single game that tries going for the same structure as this one. I think the reason people haven't really tried doing it is because this game is text-based. Most players avoid that, even harder if there are no images at all. I wish someone would try though.
It's simply a fact of life that most projects (~99%?) will not go past the idea or maybe basic alpha stage. I work as a programmer, and this game, to me, looks very easily replicated in a few months' work at worst from a coding perspective, and you can write the prose as you go along. Technically, it's not too hard and not that much of a time-sink. If you have intermediate coding skills (this game only uses the basic Java window and GUI library, some YAML parsing, and OOP and imperative fundamentals, nothing very specialised!), you can clone this game in little time
The problem is motivation, game design, persistence, decision anxiety, etc. all psychological factors. How do you convince yourself to just do it? How do you figure out the game you want to make, and start making it, and then push it "to market"?
This game has been moving along glacially, sure, but it's moving along. That speaks a bit to the developer's persistence, if nothing else.
