I understand exactly what you mean, but in reality, it's not necessary to stay locked up in the cave waiting for the rain to come.I understand you want it to be a survival game, but if I have to complete a mission on a rainy day, skipping days because it's random, I get rain after 7 days. That means 4 food x 7 = 28 and 2 water x 7 = 14, so I run out of resources. Why do I skip days and not go out to explore? Basically, because the battles are repetitive and that makes them boring. Then the next mission is in fog, and I have to be lucky enough to get a foggy day or wait another 7 days. But anyway, that's just my opinion, and I've played a lot of Ren'Py survival games, which is why I'm so critical. As I said, the idea you had up until version 0.3 was fantastic. After that, I don't know how you came to the conclusion that these changes in 0.4 and 0.5 improve the game, but oh well. (Besides, the game's story is ruined too, haha). But even though I'm criticizing you, it's so you can improve, and I hope you do and have great success. In previous versions, like 0.3, I gave you a lot of positive feedback.
The game encourages the player to continue exploring, meeting new characters, delivering creatures, and using sex toys to unlock skills that are useful in both exploration and combat.
If you check the skill bonuses carefully, you'll see that they unlock bonuses in quests and combat.
Version 0.5 is deliberately more complex and may seem difficult at first, but it becomes more interesting over time, provided you like the genre, of course.
There is also a way to summon fog the next day, which is useful for meeting characters who help in the search for items, and later on, combat can be tackled more easily or even skipped.
As for the story, it's normal to like it or not, as each player experiences the plot differently, and it's impossible to please everyone. I'm sorry that the latest versions weren't to your liking, but thank you anyway for the time you spent playing the game and for sharing your point of view.
