v1.0 of BonedMod has been released.
The boned mod apparently has monsters that you can't escape. Correction, you can't escape any of them in the right situations. So maybe it needs some balancing. I thought it was just the ooze I gave birth to but its pretty much everyone. Starting enemies, first boss, etc. I get knocked down and there's no ability to get back up at all. Did you test this? trying to escape takes increasingly more sp, but doesn't actually let you escape because I assume it requires more sp than you ever can get. And there's no way to cancel the grab? It's just an auto lock? That you can't escape? Who thought this was a good idea?
Edit: It takes 3 full bars of stamina to escape. And there is nothing you can do on knockdown to get back up. Nope, I was wrong. I had to have full health. Used 12 bars the next time. Cool. If it's this hard to escape this early in the game, why would anyone keep trying to play? And this is on easy difficulty btw.
The idea of the grabbing animation is good. The different scenes added are good. But the rest is awful. Unless you give players the ability to tweak these things, it would take hours to get through the smallest areas unless you have infinite stamina.
