See the problem is i tried NoREroMod and i dont think its difficult, its annoying but not difficult. Adding Elites that instantly grab you in a 2D Souls-like Metroidvania where literally most weapons cant even do one attack without their animation extending far enough to count as a grab for the elite is just pure BS. What i wanted would be harder enemies or the struggle mechanic from NoREroMod instead the instant break free button from the vanilla game, not enemies that have high HP but do not damage as they instantly grab you. There are many good elements in this mod, but the elites erase every pros for this mod.You're most likely thinking about the Boned mod.
Personally, I don't recommend this mod because, in my opinion, it's too bullshit and unfair, plus Boned mod's author was weirdly aggressive about defending his changes, though I guess that doesn't matter at this point.
I'd recommend NoREroMod instead, as it's a very customizable mod, where you can change many aspects to make the game easier or harder, for example: you can make it so weapons that scale with INT restore your mana, thus allowing you to use magic more often; How much stamina is expended when you dodge; If the enemies are randomly replaced with an elite variant (they look the same, but have a different color hue, have more health and deal more damage); Make enemies actually damage you when they fuck you and give you a pleasure debuff that makes your attacks weaker and slower, and so on. If you want to try NoREroMod, I made a post that explains how to install and change the mod's settings, in case the instructions on the original post are hard to understand.
Feel free to try both mods, though I recommend you make a copy of your game, just in case you don't like the mod and want to go back to vanilla game.
IMPORTANT: if you need to download the vanilla game, I BEG you, please download it from the "Win(Bug Fixed)" section of the first page. The game downloaded from the "Win(Bug Fixed)" section works perfectly, but most people, for some reason, download it from the section right above it, and then whine about the soft-lock bug.
You can remove elites from spawning. I hate them too, so I turned them off.See the problem is i tried NoREroMod and i dont think its difficult, its annoying but not difficult. I dont really remember him adding instant grabs. Also i dont hate Elites, i hate their instant grabs, they would be great IF they would not grab you the splt second your or your weapons hitbox touches their hitbox.You can remove elites from spawning. I hate them too, so I turned them off.
In the mod's config there's this part:
## Chance for an enemy to spawn as an elite (0-1)
# Setting type: Single
# Default value: 0.1
SpawnChance = 0.1
In the place where it says "SpawnChance = 0.1", replace "0.1" with "0", and the elites will never spawn. You don't have to change anything else with the elites if you do what I just explained, because elites will just stop existing. There are also values in the same part of the config that you can change, that involve making these elites unable to grab as easily, if you still want to have these elites in the game.
By the way, the fact that enemies constantly grab you in the middle of the fight without allowing you to fight back, was exactly one of the "weird changes" that Boned mod's author made and was weirdly defensive about.
No you can't combine mods that use the same asset file.is there a way to combine mods? i have two mods that affect the same asset file, but don't affect the same character.
I mean, you could, but you'd need to manually edit them together. You can't just drop them in together, but it's likely 100% possible (depends exactly what the mods are) to get them both to work if you take the time and effort to do it.No you can't combine mods that use the same asset file.
i guess i need to download a map patch for thisThis bug happened to some already, at least from what I see after looking for the fix here in the replies. But after killing Onijinmaru for the first time, the game just... doesn't do anything. The next dialogue/scenario doesn't play, the boss bgm won't stop until I leave the area, and Suzume's still held captive. If I leave the area and return, Onijinmaru just respawns, and Suzume is still there. If I kill him again, nothing happens too. Can anybody help?
Did the dev make a new post about that? Because the dev already made a post about that about a year and a half ago.The dev mentioned on Ci-en that there are still plans to make DLC but it will be difficult considering the game is on an older version of Unity

Isn't that just part of the main theme? I have that in my game files. NoR Main Theme.mp3I extracted the BGM. it's like Im a wizard.
That's it for Onijinmaru's area. The red sparkly icon just respawns the boss if you want to fight him again, and it's present for all bosses in the game.Does anyone know how to get past onijinmaru? I beat him; see a red sparkly icon, interact with it; it says "somethings not right", and gives the options to; "activate sign", or "leave it be". Either option does nothing and the boss just respawns. Any help?
