FourthSea got it to me a couple days ago, and I'm working through transferring the mod over during my free time. I should be done that later today (or super early tomorrow, depending on when I start), and following some testing to make sure all the usual suspects are dealt with (plus the reported recurrent issues), I'll get it uploaded. I want to say a day or two, but given my history, I won't.

Hello again everyone, does anyone else ever get a Microsoft.NET framework error whenever they try loading up a save file? My one file was working fine up until this morning, this seems to happen after some time regardless of how long I'm playing.
To be more specific my error says: Unhandled exception has occurred in your application. If you click Continue, the application will ignore this error and attempt to continue if you click Quit. The application will close immediately.
Unable to translate bytes[AA] at index 93 from specified code page to Unicode.
Usually, I would continue reloading and eventually, the file would work but sometimes I'm unlucky and no matter how many times I tried, I can never recover it.

Is there any fix for decreasing maximum number of active assignments? Rags and regalia, with or without Loaded Dice same result. After some time it just starts decreasing and going over "the limit" of maximum active assignments just freezes (not responding) the game. Latest save is down to 3 max active assignments which is basically unplayable.

That looks like a fairly typical RAGS issue. I would try re-installing RAGS (or maybe trying using the most up to date version) or at least make sure you don't have multiple version of RAGS installed.
I honestly don't know what you are talking about. I'm wondering if you are using "Remove Assignment", removing the quests you want, then forgetting to click "Remove Assignment" again to turn it off?
Please try to narrow down what you are doing right before you notice the assignments disappearing. You are the first person I've seen report this.
I was speaking about active assignments. After some playtime trying to start a new assignment after I have an x number of active assignments just freezes the game. I remember having at least 10 (maybe more) active, and then it slowly starts going down. On regalia it climbed down to 4-5 active assignments by month 8, trying rags i managed to play 14 months before noticing and on 17th with only 3 active assignments game is not really playable. I've stopped like 4-5 playthroughs because of this and assumed it's a common issue, considering I had it on both regalia and rags, cheatmod and not, different OS.
Hard to pinpoint because I'd need to have a lot of the assignments all the time

1. You are saying that you can't gain any more assignments? Like at all? Does it say anything (like "Failed to create Assignment") when your slavers come back from a scouting mission?
2. Can you try to Remove some assignments to see if it corrects it?
3. Do the missions have anything in common? Rarity, location, type?
4. How many Slavers and Slaves do you have? (These arrays are close to the Assignment array, so I'm wondering if there is some cross over. There is something else that is close to it, but I can't remember and don't feel like looking through RAGS Designer to figure it back out.)
As far as needing a lot of assignments, I would disagree. You should remove any assignment that you don't plan on doing just to free up game resources.
I can't send slavers on assignments; assignments themselves generate just fine. Currently on the save when I've already sent slavers to 3 assignments trying to engage in any new assignment freezes the game.
I strive to keep at max 20 slavers but sometimes go to 22 when I can't get rid of old mediocre ones fast enough and great ones are available. Slaves 10-20.
Okay, How many slavers do you have on encampment positions (guards, cook, smith, seamstress, etc)? Because you need to have a minium # of slavers based on the number of slaves you have (I can't remember the exact numbers but something like 3 slavers for 10 slaves, 5 slavers for 15???)
If that isn't it, what is it saying when you try to send your slavers on assignments?
I have more slavers than slaves. You can't have more slaves than slavers iirc.

how far into the game are you? Because this game gets even more shitty after an in game year or two
So first time ever tried to play this and using RAGS, tried to run it on the 3.0.6.0 and it runs but the formatting is all broken, uninstalled that and then installed the 2.6.1.0 and tried to run it but got unhandled exception instead. Haven't tried using the 2.4.16.0 since I havent found the installer for that. Anyone know how to make deal with the 2.6.1.0 error?

As far as RAGS 3.0+, go to TOOLS, and check "Always override game fonts", usually fixes that problem

It doesn't work the way the Biomancy cheat works. If you want to gain the trait you select for yourself while using corruption on someone else, you have to select 'Backlash - You', not 'Successful (You)'. It doesn't add an undesired trait, but the one you wanted.

This seems like the right place to ask--anyone have suggestions on how to easily bulk replace images? I enjoy the game more when I swap out some of the art, but doing it one image at a time every update suuuucks.
