There has been a version of the game made in twine and released, it just doesn't have anywhere near the content present in the rags version because everything has to be converted over and I doubt there's a better way to do it than manually.

I would tend to be more charitable than this. I do genuinely believe that bedlam wants to do a good job and make a good game, but yeah the general problem of crowdfunded patreon gamedev is always hanging there with it not incentivizing working quickly.
the benefit of the doubt died three/four years ago.

and what someone belive is of little value. if he want make a good works, he should start learing at least the basic netique of good coding. even alone the sheer amount of works he make to impede the develping of this mod is enough. if he stop wasting time in things like that and start learning for real will be a huge improve.

in the midtime he was developing the conversion, how many time he reworked whole systems? [like biomancy and corruption] if you are converting in good faith any serious mechanical revamp will be put on hold and implemented in the coversion as native system, still he change them again, and again and again.

you can still developing content for the rags to keep the patreon [or what platform you use] rolling, but will focus on the easy translable event in the new system, you don't make complex and absurd event to keep the "monthly quota", still he has done that multiple time.

in the end, for me, fact and action speak more loudly of any stament of intention. and bedlam action bring me to do only a colossal facepalm and nothing more.

I mean at the end of the day we're only really disagreeing between the cause being incompetence vs laziness vs greediness vs malice vs unknown extenuating circumstances when the truth is probably some mix of all of them. Regardless of the truth, we can still agree that it sucks and wish it was better.

Anyway, I sat down and tried to remember some of the various bugs that I've seen. This is off the top of my head, but if bugs are being looked into at any point then:

Oh and for something actually related to LD rather than the base game:
Rigging Hypnosis to always succeed doesn't skip the initial random check to see if you can get the slaver alone, so you can still fail to accomplish anything that night even with hypnosis rigged. Maybe want to make the options for hypnosis rigging more granular? "Always succeed in getting them alone", "Always succeed in adding triggers", and "Increase the number of triggers added on success" are three separate things that you could make a case for preferring any of them to be on/off.

At this point I'm mostly waiting for the next Regalia version, even though it regularly breaks for me.
I can't bring myself to deal with RAGS again. It's such a pain to use that I can't even imagine how annoying it must be to do bugfixing in that clusterfuck of an engine.

Sorry, went to a concert last night and then... forgot to finish the update.

The primary focus on this update was fixing a handful of bugs and adding in the new character creation list of traits. I got through... some of the bugs in NRFB's list, but not all. Because I was so sporadic in working on this I'm not sure which parts of it I fixed and didn't, I failed at keeping a checklist:whistle:

Update's uploading right now, just waiting for it to finish.

Changelog:
Finished the special aspects part of the CC mod, the traits part is being finicky and won't consistently set. So it's excluded till I finish it, but that won't be long.
Various BTS bugfixes, and a handful of reported ones. A number of the ones reported by NRFB have strange calls and were fixed poorly, so I can only imagine they will still pop up, but I have the next week off and my partner is in Germany, so I will have the time to work on it consistently rather than getting a sporadic 3 hours over the course of a week.

(EDIT: And again, sorry I delayed it a minute longer. Uploads were being weird and I was making last minute changes like a chump)

What's the CC mod?
Under Character Creation, there's now an option called "Special Aspects"(placeholder name). People have asked for access to the unique player starting aspects in character creation for a bit now, and I decided to do it as I was creating one for traits that aren't accessible. Surprisingly easy once I realized all the issues with doing the traits version:unsure:
I'll likely update it in the next few days as someone finds an issue, I finish my list of traits, and figure out why traits won't apply.

At least one was missing, it allowed for the slaver to occupy the slave role on any given mission. I think a few versions of it have come and gone, actually. Was there no version of this unique aspect still in the latest game version?

Also is there any way to prevent forced encounters from turning into the hypno alternate character thing at night? Loved forced encounter, hated "cumsprinkles mcsugartits" or whatever alternate personality hypno scenes.

Iirc, just need to make sure your main focus slaver isn't a hypno, not much else you can do

Nah, doesn't matter who it is. You eventually get a "Will Breaker" collar slapped on you, and next time the scene is the exact same as the hypno control super negative perk (Lacey's toy, I think it was called)

Yeah, you get that "Lacey's Plaything" flag on you (there was nothing else in the code if I remember my personal tweaks from year ago) and from there it's the typical puppet leader crap.

I always circumvented this using locks in Regalia. The Requirment for them to put a willbreaker on you is to cap their money gain, so I used codes to set their gained amount super negative while also lower minimums(raising maxes didn't work)

That's the same thing I did, though with Rags it gets messy + testing it is a nightmare in multiple acts.
But it did work eventually and I was planning on expanding it but sadly, no one was willing or simply able to answer some of my questions and I kinda lost motivation for any "mods" for this mess of a project (Rags I mean, not what Frank is mercifully cooking for us since 2018 now).

I had a subproject draft and hell, I was even on an art commission spree for OCs that I could implement as sub-dom characters in a similar way to how of the more unique ones are (the virgin one in particular). That was right before the boom for AI-gens that spared me a few hundreds $ on further experiments :D

What tools are needed to edit the game specifically? I remember I tried to figure out Rags like years ago, but always gave up because I could never find or access the source code inside the editor/engine.

All you "need" is a rags designer. Cracked version (for Pro features that you need) should be somewhere on F95 (that's where I've got it), probably it was even linked in this thread. It will most likely show you virus when scanned because crack is kinda badly designed...but it works.
Anyway, you won't have too much of a different experience from the last time because it is the same version you used years ago (remember, Rags is essentially abandoned at this point) xD
