In the rags version there was a tutorial but mainly just like a text tutorial explanation thingI tried it a while ago (the rags version) and couldn't really understand the mechanics. Unlike Masters of Raana, where you get a few quests to get you into the game, this starts in pure sandbox mode and, without a manual or guide, I couldn't understand what the point of the game was. Is there such a guide or walkthrough?
my notepad++ keeps lagging out, any way to give it more performance or do you just have to wait 5 minutes between each time you try to change or search anything? For those interested, I did manage to figure out how to cheat in more trait points and increase the limit.
First open Game.js with a text editor.
Its a massive file, so you'll probably have to use something like NP+.
CTRL+F search for 'jack-of-all'.
This highlights all the mentions of the trait Jack-Of-All Trades, which increases your trait limit by 2 at the cost of 2 points.
There are several entries, but the one you need with be followed shortly by code that says 'subtract 2' and 'add 2'.
The subtract 2 is the cost of the trait in points, and the add 2 is the number of new trait slots it gives you.
Edit these entries to something like 'subtract -30' and 'add 30'. The double negative on the subtract will turn it positive.
Then when you select the trait in-game, it will give you 30 additional trait slots, and 30 additional points.
Could this be built from a Regalia or rags2html conversion? If so, it would explain the need to further fix and streamline it as a Sugarcube game.I just want to point out that this is not a "new" version. I checked, and I have this exact file on my PC, last edited 10 months ago.
I don't remember how it got there.
And checking his patreon, the dev is on version 0.41, while this is 0.3
Question for anyone with experience editing html what line/variable do i change to give myself higher trait points when creating my character?
SugarCube.State.variables.Nhv[4][2]=100Twine is in html. I'm not even sure how to explain it to you.I thought the game was supposed to go to twine and not html
should work on phone nativelyHello, sorry for the silly question. I wanted to ask if it is possible to run the game on JoiPlay.
