dev log time, cross-posted from itch as always
Hello!
It's getting towards the end of the month, so it's about time for another dev log. Not a major update on things, though. At around 900 renders for the chapter now. Have been working on the scene gallery and the character screens as and when I've had the time. It's all coming together rather well, I'd say. But then again, I would say that, wouldn't I?
I'm hoping that I'll really be able to kick on in the new year and get some serious work done on chapter 3. I'm as keen as ever to release an update, but I'm distinctly aware that I'd rather release a quality chapter than rush something out. But I've also been writing future things for future chapters recently, and fuck me am I keen to get to those points in the story. Don't get me wrong: I like chapter 3. A lot of good shit is happening in chapter 3. It's really fun to work through. But the more I plan, the more I write, of the future stuff just makes me more excited for it all. And I'm going to use this as motivation to work as hard as I can on getting updates out in as reasonable a time as possible.
Right now, I'd guess I'm about halfway through chapter 3. This is a very, very, very rough estimate, because I think it'll end up being over 2000 renders total, so by that metric I'm still below halfway, but I *feel* like I'm about halfway through the content of the chapter. It's been 4 months since ch2 was released, so I'm hoping that it'll be less than a year total between updates. Can I guarantee this? No. But, right now, I'm feeling good about getting a release out in the first half of 2025. Hopefully. We'll see.
As always, thanks for reading, thanks for your interest in my little project. Wishing the best for you all.
And before I go, oh my god, there's 11 fucking previews. It's a holiday miracle. Why 11? Because
there was 11 things I wanted to show you there's going to be 11 chapters in the game! Ahh, serendipity. Enjoy.
