I should be used to it by now there are about thirty games I really liked that are now abandoned.
Thankfully this will get an ending. I just hope it's good.

Same. Honestly for me after NiF finishes, I think I'll mostly ignore this site again. I've mostly been checking hoping for a decent rotation of games throughout the year, but it just hasn't happened. Most games get abandoned, and even prior to getting abandoned the content drip is so small. The quality is usually so low as to not be worth the time. Honestly most people are better served watching porn or reading sex stories for the prurient interest. And just playing regular games for the video game interest. And other sources of entertainment otherwise.
I've praised NiF and I stand by that, relative to other games on here it's very much in the elite category. I just don't think anything here is really that good. NiF isn't something I'd recommend to non-F95zone people. I certainly hope it did well on Steam, but I would doubt it did too well.
Honestly since I got into AVN's I find it hard to play regular games anymore. What keeps me coming back and looking to play more and updates on my favorite games isnt the smut far from it. It's honestly the characters and if it has a good story all the better , the porn part doesnt matter to me. I don't know what it is with these type of games but I find it real easy to get attached to some of these characters to the point I find just getting to know them and the character building alot more enjoyable than regular video games. so even some of the bad ones I manage to find some enjoyable as long as it isn't mostly a porn AVN. Only recently I been trying to get back to weaving some regular video games back into my free time as I felt like I been neglecting them to much.
With all that being said this game is top tier when it comes to character building which is my favorite aspect of these games. Even if I dont consider this game top 10 material for me personally but when it comes to the character building it probably be top 5 .

didn't see the progress report instead saw a post, in general, saying hurray for the update, genuinely thought it was out and was planning on playing it lol

Finally decided to give it a real go yesterday, tried it before but I didn't really get far. But yesterday, yeah, I saw the potential of that game, damn, first, characters have believable personalities, second, the inner turmoil of the MC was something I didn't expect at all, third, I love chess so it got me, fourth, was a bit confused about the skills, but then understood...
Honestly, the story, the narrative, everything, wasn't sure where I was in the game, played for a couple hours (I take my time to read everything, listen to the music, take time to 'feel' games usually), when I finally understood I was probably in for a treat, cause I had just finished CH.1, and I thought I was further than that.
A great AVN so far, for sure.

Have to agree that for me "the smut" is a bonus, a very nice bonus esp. if it is done well, but the games on F95 I like the most have something going on beside the sex.
For instance, I consider the hyped "BaDIK" a complete snoozefest, I was just bored when I played it and stopped early. "Pale Carnations" on the other hand I play for the story and less for the sex. While PC has several awesome sex scenes, e.g. the Hana and Felicia dates, most players play it for the various storylines and the really wellmade characters.
"NIF" also belongs in the category of games with really wellmade characters and what your choices do in the game. I really like Lea, Jen and Olivia (Kim too but not as girlfriend material) and how we can develop the game paths during play.
This game could definitely use at least one more chapter to flesh out the plot and characters. I hope there are a lot of scenes with Bri. It amazes me that the shapeliest woman in the game was the most underutilized. I hope the developer corrects that in future updates.
Letting you all know that I just FINALLY handed over the dialog edits for CH7 Part I to MrSilverLust. Looking forward to the Ch 7 Part II release sometime soon.
On a scale of 5 milliseconds to 2000 milliseconds, how quickly did you reach in your pants while writing some of Lea's (or Jen's or Olivia's) scenes?

No way this gets all its sub-plots adequately resolved in two chapters. Unless it goes for masive time-skips with shit happening "off camera" that we only get to read the summary of and maybe see a montage. Some paths are in their infancy. For example the maledom/misogyny path with his friend/colleague heavily foreshadows both physical and mental changes for her (lighter hair color being the first step). You can't realistically do that in two chapters. Same for Kim's cuckolding route that had like 2 scenes I think? Or Olivia who seems like it has barely started.
If only this forum had a method of showing you which genres each game had at say the top of the thread to let you know what was in the game.
It'd be nifty.
You know darn well tags don't represent a 1-to-1 relationship with in game content, and are best used as a general guide as opposed to specific parameters.
No, not that I'm aware of.

I wanted to try this game but been called out at the intro so bad, I could not move pass it. Maybe some time later, I hope.

The game doesn't change drastically, so I doubt you find it much different later on. Oh well. I got a few recommendations and they were all dogshit, nothing one can do about it.

I am sure it gets better but when the game described MC's life, I felt exposed so I may try it again with a different mindset if I ever have it.

Hoy boy, it gets even better later on. MCs self-loathing and his different personalitys and his "it" moaning and bitching is the real deal and he even has a dream later on about a succubus roasting him how he pathetically seeks for validation.
Funny that the reason the game turns you off is because it hits to hard.
yeah this is one of those games I say it actually helps if you can play disconnected from a MC. Cause I personally didn't care for any of the stuff about the MC's life for the most part. I just enjoyed the writing of the characters. Also this game has a character that is another Vulvamort. So might be worth it to just see how much you hate her lol.
