I thought the dev had gone completely awol radio silent, I'm surprised to see here that apparently he even went as far as to give a date for a next update. I'd say I'm glad if it weren't for the fact that he said November and the month is almost over already lol

It is a sad situation, but unfortunately I have not heard from MrSL directly since Nov 1st 2024.
F95 private messages were the only way we used to stay in contact and pass pre-release code back and forth, but I don't think he comes to visit this site anymore. Which is understandable considering the fucking degenerates around the place.
I would still love to help some more, but perhaps now I am just somebody he used to know.

I suspect he didn't took the chapter 7 criticism well. Since it was split twice, each time people complained that the update was too short. It also had less content in comparison to chapter 5 and 6, the best chapters overall. It seemed to be more of a setup chapter, so I wasn't complaining, but apparently wrapping up the game was too much of a challenge.

It just always turns ugly near the middle or latter half, especially when devs make a cast this large. Even 6 characters doesn't sound like much but each with their own permutations within their own routes + other important variables for the MC? Growth is exponential, and the longer it goes, the troubles and intricacies double or sometimes even triple in size for now they have to account for too many things. Wrapping a mess like that in a cohesive manner for all possible permutations in all routes must be a horrendous nightmare. But neither Devs, nor Patreons and much less piracy site users will understand that such is the cycle for these things. The more ambitious it is, the longer and LONGER each update will take.
Devs get stuck between a rock and a hard place because they're being hit on one end by the reality check that is the exponential increase in dev time while on the other end they have users on a piracy site complaining about their favorites not getting "enough" scenes whatever "enough" means for them or about how devtime is way too long for what is being delivered. The Dev definitely KNOWS they fucked up biting way more than they could chew, they don't need us freeloaders to be reminding them that updates are slowing down a lot.
I'm surprised he didn't completely cancel the project, but I understand not wanting to keep interacting with the community here.
