Hi everyone,
For the next chapter the skill tree will be updated to better reflect the content in the game.
The old skill tree looked like this:
And the new one will look like this:
The biggest changes are in the
honorable skills.
This group was always the hardest one to fit kinks with the personality. The sensitive and manly ones are easier, cunning also makes sense, but the honorable tree always felt a bit esoteric. So, I've decided to replace
"Free use",
"kinkster" and
"Discipline", with
"In front of others",
"Group kink" and
"Worship". I think these make more sense.
"In front of others" is a continuation of the
"Exhibitionism" line and is self-explanatory.
"Kinkster" was always weird and arbitrary, so, I replacing it with
"group kink" makes more sense. This way, we have a new skill to use for the group sex scenes with more than 2 people. It's much easier to understand and have a much more defined purpose.
"Worship" is very similar to the
"Idolization" skill that was present in the sensitive tree, but, moving it to the honorable tree means we can use it in a submissive
or dominant context, making it more versatile.
That last change also frees up a spot in the sensitive tree. I decided to make all the inner corner skills related to the kind of relationships the player wants for the end. Things like: remaining in a relationship and being loyal; or cheating; or not wanting a monogamous relationship and preferring to stay promiscuous; and so on.
It seems like a good symmetrical way to tie all the personalities to different types of relationships/ends. This means that, in the manly tree, I have replaced
"Own her" with
"Promiscuous". The
"Own her" skill was very restrictive. Besides, those types of relationships can still happen in game, without the need of a skill.
Still in the manly tree, I also replaced
"Forced Orgasm" with
"Over-stimulation", but this is just a name change, it will be used in the same scenes the same way.
In the Cunning tree,
"Sadomaso" was replaced with
"Findom".
"Painplay" already covers that kink, and this opens up space for a new skill to be used a couple times.
All these changes also meant that some individual progression lines needed to be changed.

Besides this, I'm also retroactively changing the skills needed for previous scenes to better fit the new skills, but also some older ones.
For example, in the manly tree, we've already used
"Dominant" a few times, while in the sensitive tree, we've never used
"Submissive". Which I don't understand why I did that? I mean, if, for example, being pegged is not being submissive, I don't know what it is.
New skills like
"Group kink" will also be added to previous scenes. Nothing of this will mess with your current saves, you can just continue them even if you don't have the skills needed for the previous scenes you already saw. Only the future scenes in chapter 8 will need them. New games will have everything correct from the start.
And, because there are now more standalone
"Advanced Skills" that are not a continuation of a previous
"Intermediate Skill", and that might be needed earlier in the story, I also changed the rules to unlock these skills. While previously you needed 4 total skills to be allowed to buy one of the
"Advanced Skills", now you just need 3.
I hope this will make it less likely that someone gets locked out of a scene they want because they don't have enough points.
