A little lost on an install issue. I was playing .99 for a while, and saw the update. I patched the game (shows as 1.0 in game info now), but all my saves cause it to crash when I try to load them. If I roll back to .99 they work just fine.

Is there something special I am meant to do?

Process: Have .99 installed and played.
Copied the 1.00 into the game folder
Validated the game is 1.0 in Info
Load a game
Crash
Start a new game, works fine

I rather not start all over, but will if I have to. Any ideas what may be causing the crashes?

Hi. Were you playing with the Multi-Mod before on v0.99? And the v1.00 is the one with or without the Mod included?

I believe both are the unmodded version. It worked for a second, but after closing the game and opening it again (both showed as being 1.00) it crashed upon trying to load.

You don't have permission to view the spoiler content. Log in or register now.

How important is the multimod to have? Enough to start over? I assume I can zip through the scenes automatically until I get to where I am now, but is it that big of a change?

The Multi-Mod just highlights the proper answers to get love/like/trust points and guide you to the desired outcome in the end.

You can always use one of the pdf files linked in the first post if you want, and you will get the same exact information; so the Mod is just a convinience, but not mandatory at all.

Having said this, it's up to you, but depending on how far you are into the story, maybe starting a new game could be a nice idea, just to be on the safe side.

Very often some Add-On information is written in the saves, so the saves of the Clean version are incompatible with the version with Mod.
When you start playing you need to decide which version to start with.

I'm so lost, bros.

Why don't we have one v1.0 file just like other completed games?

I mean what are these? Do I need to download v0.99, then patch it to v1.0, then put end.rpy into the game folder? :WaitWhat:

wtf.JPG

Is it really hard to put everything in one .exe file and let ppl play your game without completely lost? :PogChamp:

After all this is a completed game, right? :WeSmart:

Sometimes I really don't understand the developers. :HideThePain:

Just as a note, I believe I remember that the endings.rpy was just a hotfix for an issue with v0.99. It shouldn’t be needed if you update to v1.00 (and definitely you must not install it after the v1 patch).

v 0.26 is the last version the mod works with, and apparently rather bugged.
(Found by searching 0.26 in this thread at the top of the page. I highly recommend this method before asking questions.)

Actually 0.99 is the last version the mod works for. Found on the main page.

I used it on .99 and still am. I've had no issues even when I finished the game.
You are free to believe in whatever you want to believe in.

The mod shows every single scene of every story branch in a row. Quite a few people wrote HERE in this thread that they weren't grasping what the hell was happening in the story and why it was happening anymore and that it ruined their game experience.

Anyway, I couldn't care less whether YOU think that you had no issue. What's important is that a lot of people here in this thread reported this and recommended people to avoid using the mod because of it.

I see what the issue might be. If they were choosing to see all the scenes where you're supposed to make a choice I can see how that might mess things up. The mod doesn't force you though and I think it may have even warned you but it's been a minute since I played it.
In any case my experience is just as valid as the other people you're apparently referencing so I don't give a damn what you say about it either little buddy.
Looks like were at an impasse.

Don't use the mod: it breaks the storyline continuity.
If you are playing v1.00 (or you plan to do so in the future), my updated version of the mod uploaded here shouldn't contain any continuity error as I removed the flow changes done by the original MultiMod (at the expense of removing the possibility of watching mutually exclusive scenes locked behind some choices). My version of the MultiMod follows the same exact pathing as the original unmodded game.

Greetings.

I've manually updated the original MultiMod by DarkAssassin to include the latest fixes and make it compatible with the recently released v.1.00.0 Director's Cut patch. I did it to replay the game myself, but I'm guessing it would be a nice idea to share it here in case anyone else wants to replay the game now with the latest fixes.

Just unpack this zip over the original non-modded v0.99 Directors Cut build and you should be good to go (the zip contains BOTH the v1.00 patch AND the Multi-Mod). Make sure the content of the "game" folder inside this zip file is unpacked over the "game" folder within the game installation directory. Just as it was with the original Mod by DarkAssassin.

A note about my revision: I had a few continuity issues with some options that the Multi-Mod was adding for watching
->>"(Mod) Both"<--
and playing two different scenes which should be mutually exclusive choices otherwise, so I removed that feature from this package. Not sure if maybe the original Multi-mod is using old code here, or it's because how it interacts with the changes on the latest game update, or more likely, my own failure when doing the merges. In any case, right now the game flow should be exactly the same with this package as it is on the non-modded v1.00.0 original game (which I prefer), but with the added features of Walkthough Highlighting and DarkAssassin comments. Also, I'm not sure if the Gallery Unlocking feature is working, because I already have all scenes unlocked on my savegames. I can confirm the Gallery Unlocker feature was broken on previous versions of the Multimod, but should be working fine right now with the latest revision I posted below.

As such, consider this just a temporal bandaid until DarkAssassin properly updates his original mod.

All credit on the Multi-Mod goes to him, I just merged a few files. Thanks!!!!

Edited: Posted an updated version of my fanmade MultiMod fixing some code on the Gallery Unlocker feature. Make sure you have the zip file ending in [...]-v2.zip if you want to use the Gallery Unlocking feature of the MultiMod. If you already installed my previous MultiMod, it's perfectly safe to just overwrite the previous files with the contents of this new version.
Awesome! I will finally update the game to 1.0 and replay it now. Thanks a bunch!
