Let's all just be honest here, the update (which was "just around the corner"...2 weeks ago) is simply inexcusably slow to come out. Being realistic, he has a week to release it, and if it doesn't, it'll be Christmas and New Years by then and we won't see it til 2026.
I understand and appreciate the fact he's a solo developer working on a pretty beefy project, but let's also be honest: his hardcore fans are still paying for his Patreon, and it's a solid core, he has no reason to rush. But also, the last major update came out 4 months ago, and this is after he said he reduced his hours at his normal job to put more time towards this.
It's not like he's drawing all the art by hand or anything either, it's AI. I can't say I know all the coding that goes into the game, but it's been a long time for a game like this, especially one he's allegedly been putting so much time towards. And being realistic, what we're going to get is maybe 2 hours of new material, and that's if you don't rush through the scenes. 4 months for 2 hours is a rough deal no matter how you slice it.
In short, I really like the game, and I hope it continues being developed and does well, but I honestly think Nosy needs to either cut back on the feature creep and keep the "core" of the game like it was in the earlier updates with more minor additions, or find someone to help him develop, otherwise, the dev time is going to continue to balloon. I appreciate that he has a lot of neat ideas for the game, but if it takes nearly half a year to implement them, I'm not sure I see the point.
