Anyone else getting a bit burned out on ntr games? Maybe its because the quality has been dropping... or maybe after enough played games, the stories are samey, their edge has been dulled by having experienced them so many times...

I used to get really excited playing them... now its just... eh. Playing them more out of habit and finding the experience lackluster.

To be fair, I did play an unhealthy amount of them.

1. while i enjoy a decently written ntr story i never look for or expect anything too deep, most people seem to be looking for some kind of "revenge" or "rise from the ashes story" which while there are a few isnt the main purpose of hentai nor specifically ntr(mostly just made for people to fap and move on). thats more for mainstream manga and anime its why i always say temper you expectations.

2. honestly it seems less like your just tired of ntr because stories are dull and more that youre burned out because youve played/watched so many. take a break i say and come back later after feeling refreshed, maybe take a dip in other genres as well just to be sure its the ntr tiring you out.

I agree in part because it makes sense, but I still feel excited about Fujino's (SAO NTR) games because their games have a quality I haven't experienced yet.

It's true. The more you do something, the less it stimulates you. Things get dull, routine over time. Need novelty or greater dose to get the same kick. And where would you get that having a conveyor of shitty RPGM lookalike games? True for long-time couples. As they also say - if you want to stop being afraid of something, you just need to experience that time and time again. True for addictions like porn or drugs (moving towards greater doses or heavier ones) or gambling. My take that manifestation of this in porn videos is when you see a Pornhub etc. channel of an obvious young couple - appearing in all the videos - but the descriptions always say some kinky stuff like 'stepbrother fucks his sister while parents are out' etc. Often in the next videos they are some 'neighbour and GF while BF is out' or 'son and a young stepmom while dad is out' or something. Vanilla doesn't cut it nowadays for people.

But while this is true and all of us are subjected to this, I got to think recently that even if you're not addicted to or dulled by the sheer amount of something, if you try the real deal of something - you can't get the same kick from the previous stuff. Lol kind of recalled cliche saying 'once you go black, you never go back', but an exampe I have in mind is drugs - not that I am promoting this - imagine a dude that has started recently and was doing, say, marijuana and/or meth. Then he tries cocaine. Will he be that interested in meth/marijuana afterwards? I got to think this shortly after playing Boku no Kanojo wa Gatenkei (kudos to poipoi for translating it BTW). It makes the best Anim games look bleak IMO. How the heck (and why) one is supposed to play some run of the mill or plain mediocre stuff like Atelier Sakura or some low effort RPGM games after playing that?

We need some stuff for memory wiping like in Total Recall or Men in Black

I feel the same, but I'm 100% sure I feel this way because in the last 1-2 years only a handful of actually good NTR came out, and I played +30 probably.
A lot of games that I were waiting for really excited released and were a pile of dogshit (look at the clones of Scars of Summer like the one that came out recently).

I am really enjoying Ntr.case02! It has a lot of potential. The illustrations are alright but definitely could use some work. Like I really think this game could be boy hero ken level with some overall improvements.

Its definitely good, my complaint is that most of the side quests are long and never lead to anything juicy. The school teacher is really good, but the others are just a slog.

Already following the dev in cien when I played his previous game. He has a good grasp when it comes to balancing quality and quantity of the sex scenes. Plus , I really dig his art style.

Definitely gonna play his game when it's fully released.

Nah fr I was recently on a NTR binge, like I was just playing a shit ton of jrpg etc ntr games, and then at the end of it I randomly downloaded this summertime saga-esque game

And man, after all tha ntr? Being the joe smo protag hit DIFF. Like the game wasn't even all that but I still got a kick out of it. Ntr is a dosage thing I think.
