It also doesnt matter that "we used to date" is an acceptable term for anything. Its about the fact that they used to date and love each other, but she still ultimately cheated and betrayed the MC (with his only faults being trusting his friend and not seeing the cheating signals) , and just basically spat in his face again with 0 remorse.

Sorry for assuming... in my case, I ignore the male MCs completely in those games and treat them as tools so that I won't sympathise with them. Just don't connect the scenarios to anything or anyone in the real environment. Hope this helps.
