I agree with most of you... promising start and sad to see it go... I was impressed by the "not so typical" DAZ characters, but perhaps the dev's name says it all...
"Lazy Tiger Studio" ???
on the other hand it IS a lot of work to put one of these together in even rudimentary fashion ... something I hope to do myself soon.

When are people gonna understand that you can't just think people are gonna give you money, you need to show people you are in it for more then just money, show them you really enjoy making whatever it is you are making and you are gonna try to make a good game!
Very few people who use patreon get a lot of support within the first few months/few updates, it takes time and again you have to show people you are not in it for fast money also you can't expect people to find your patreon it does not work like that you need to post it all over the internet so make a Twitter and other sites and post links to your patreon!
Many creators don't even try using sites like twitter to advertise i have checked and see so many creators send like one tweet here and there and that is never enough!

pretty sad news, this is a good dev, maybe they lack in content update but they did a good work with the game.....i think leaving a Project will harm then more in the long term but maybe its something that will get more patreons if the new Project is better.

I remember skipping this game because of the name and then I gave it a shot when I saw a comment on another game about it. That could be one of the reasons its not very popular.
You see the word "obrenor", whats the first thing that comes to mind? Mine was oh great another russian incest clone. Thankfully, I was wrong. lol

Well, that’s unfortunate to hear. It had a interesting story and characters. And a good Fantasy setting with a male protagonist (which is rare). For me, It was a nice change of pace with just about every other visual novel’s setting being set at home, school, and the daily life/slice of life setting. The other decent fantasy stories I know of are “Long Live the Princess” and “Sword of Wonder”. The takeaway for me was the save scumming and forced to save and replay for each of the girls’ routes individually instead of a linear one with all.
The whole making a adult game with almost little to no adult/erotic content in it is bothersome. Adult/erotic content is to be expected, not right away, but it's expected. Also, looking into seeing how the banter and romance played out between the characters.

Well that's disappointing. I thought good things were going to come out of this game, it had a promising story-line and attractive characters. If all they were in it for was the money to justify the effort then creating an indie game, never mind whether it's got sex in or not, is a poor plan. If they didn't want to make a porn game then why start it to begin with, that just seems stupid to me. Why would anyone think "let's make a game but let's limit our audience to a genre we're not that sold on because it might get us some money"?

The whole Patreon thing is pissing me off now, it was initially started as a way for people to fund people that were already doing things anyway so it just made their life easier. Hence them being Patrons or their art. This bullshit people are doing just starting something on Patreon in order to make money with no actual vision of an end product is bollocks. They're not looking for a way to produce their art, just a way to fund their lifestyle.

Good luck to Lazy Tiger or whatever they'll be calling themselves after this, but making a VN without any sex is going to be a hard sell, especially if you want to make money from it.

Normally I don't support breakout developers because they go for awhile and then abandon their work and I should have stuck to that rule. This one I had hopes for and like the previous poster I thought that good things were going to happen with it. So I supported it. Any future developments I will have to wait several months before I will even consider supporting them again.

Well this is funny.
Why not put your money on people who will finish products? Siren's Domain, Iccreations and Icstor. I'd drop some other names but i don't think they'll finish. But the three I've named they will finish and do deserve more backers.

they decided they no longer want to make pornographic games?

well good luck to them but failing to even get past a start for their first project hardly screams 'developers' lol

personally I would have shown the world what i can do regardless of dislike of content, as showing many facets can only show that adaptability as a dev.

such a shame, as what little we got was promising and decently polished....heyho

I currently perform a Patreon support to 10 developers. It use to be 11. So how do you know that I don't support the ones you have listed. My f95zone account and my patreon account are different. So if you are using my ID here as a search on patreon you won't find it and I also do not make public who I support on my patreon account.

To be fair to you though I do not support the ones you listed mainly because they work in RPGM, which I am not a fan of and avoid them like the plague. I really hate all the running around you do in them and trying to figure out where you are suppose to go. That is not to say that they are not good games just not ones that I enjoy. I also hate games that have a lot of grind in them. Iccreations does F.I.L.F which is not a RPGM but I am not fan of it.

The three you mention they do have good track records and even though I am not aware of anything that Sirens' Domain has finished they have shown they are willing to work long term on their products since it seems that Town of Passion has been a year in production and I support Dark Cookie but I am not aware of anything he has finished. So a finish product is not needed just a track record that shows that you are in it for the long haul.

I am more of a fan of VN style game and as such it is real important that a developer finish otherwise it is like someone telling a story and leaving you with a cliffhanger for the rest of your life. I also hate cliffhangers. However to be fair to the Developer who would like to make a living making these games at some point you have to start supporting or they may lose interest in making them. Some do it because they love doing it and some because they already good at it and would like to make money at. So the balance for the later has to be somewhere.

To me three months is a good point that you will have a few supporters and this person had them I liked the beginning enough that I wanted to be an early supporter. To let them know I liked their story and hoped that other would also show some support later. I however feel the developer of this game had an unreasonable time estimate of three months which I would have thought he should have had at least 6 to 9 months before making a decision and have patreon tiers besides just 1 and 5 dollars. Also as suggested more social media interactions, tweets and such. In the end this developer shows that he had no love for this project and we should be grateful that he ended it within the short time frame and instead of us getting more involved in it.

However this does hurt their credibility and support from the adult gamers will be even slower for them in the future.

That is one of the Developers I support. Love Lancaster Boarding House and it deserves more love then I can afford to give it. So thanks for pointing it out because I think I will move the funds that went to this game to it. But we are getting off topic. We should try and limit this thread to this game and it's developer. Developers that are or are not deserving can be threads within themselves that would have countless ASSHOLE opinions including my own and I am not calling everyone or anyone an asshole it's just a pun that everyone has one.

Yet another game with a weird name that I've skipped. Maybe I should stop judging books by their cover. lol
