Yeah, at this point I think I will have to shelve this one for a bit to see how this shakes out. Way too much was set up for a non-solo path in this story so far for there not to be a harem. I kinda feel like the story is already pretty deep into the "written into a corner" territory.

It's a good step if you're looking to progress with a particular LI, but so far, it doesn't seem like it locks you out of any path.

No, there is no count. You can choose whoever you want without being locked out. Only a few minor dialogues change. Until the current version, you don't have to make a choice.
