Oh, I got the feeling Slonique is riding the abandon train like no tomorrow, but in this case, I can't help think he got the last laugh. And with all been said about him in this thread and others, I guess it work both ways.I really don't know if you are just such a nice person that you don't want to say anything negative about devs and their games, or if you really like bad games, asshole devs and all that shit you constantly defend, you're a mystery to me.
Well, did you give him any money then? He kinda well known for abandon whatever around these parts so I'm not so sure there is that many patreons of his here? idk...When a creator who's known for abandoning projects and reusing models throws up his hands and shits out an ending like this one, it isn't some great artiste giving us visionless critics a well-deserved tweaking. It's a petulant child delivering a low-effort troll toward the only people with any interest in giving him money.
My post was more directed toward the people giving Slonique props. I'm not a fan of trolling in general and you might be able to tell I've got some passion when it comes to the punk genre.Well, did you give him any money then? Also, just because the ending of the game, is not the ending people wanted, its the ending the creator made. Should we start rage and go emo whenever a game get completed and we don't like the ending? I could kinda get it if we start talk about "Mass Effect 3 ending", but this?
Oh God, not here that too please.methinks Joshuatree is slonique no other explanation for how vigourously he defends the indefencible..lol
now..my grammar and such sucks bad..but i have no idea what "not here that too please" means...i do not speak Yoda...sorry.Oh God, not here that too please.
Oh you're so innocent. Well, that guy can't be Gundrop, Vilelab, Palmer, Slonic and don't know how many more at the same time.now..my grammar and such sucks bad..but i have no idea what "not here that too please" means...i do not speak Yoda...sorry.
I've seen a bunch of people applauding Slonique for being punk or getting in a heckin' good troll on the haters. The essential issue with being punk or giving your critics a "take that" jab is that, for the tactic to work, you have to have done something worthy of respect or recognition. You have to have raised yourself up and created something worthwhile so that consumers of your content know you're capable of doing good things, and have therefore made a statement by making a product that's intentionally low-quality or unrepresentative of your usual work. The Clash and the Ramones were made up of excellent musicians who showed off their technical prowess even as they made discordant, emotionally-charged music that deliberately flouted the tenets of rock at the time, and that's why we remember them.

e: It occurs to me that I have no clue what gender Slonique is, and I only used "he" in this post because it was used several times in the thread already. But -ique is usually a feminine suffix, so if I was wrong about the dev's gender then I apologize on that point. The rest of the comment stands.
