I just wonder how many people actually read the story? There are SO many misapprehensions (or misrepresentations) out there that it's hard to imagine most do. There may be some spoilers below, but frankly, if it's news, it's because one didn't bother to read, and if it's not, then it's not a spoiler.
1. The backdrop of the entire story is a struggle between Order ('Good'), Chaos ('Evil') and...Harmony (?). But of course Order and Chaos aren't nearly so simplistic as Good/Evil. But they ARE hard to comprehend for humans. Harmony seems very humanocentric.
2. The MC is picked because....we have no idea. Probably there IS no idea. Maybe he's a man of morals but who is so damaged that both sides agree he has the capacity to serve their interests. Like...the prosecution and defense selecting a jury in a trial. He's left to confront that his role in this is possibly utterly arbitrary, which probably is a helluva kick in the pride.
3. His damage is represented not only in debilitating loneliness, but also crippling self-esteem issues and deep personal tragedy. And - this is important - both Order and Chaos are trying to influence his ultimate decision. Chaos, by exposing him to carnal pleasures, and Order by arranging the lifepaths of those who might provide him comfort and solace (which yes, means sexual release, too) to encounter him. Both have allowed for this glamor, so that those people will be receptive to him.
4. The third path - Harmony, let's call it - seems to be playing on the aspect that even though all these people are positioned to do things for the MC, he, actually, is in position to do things for them. In other words, he is far more than just the happy accidental recipient of the attention of "a bunch of sluts". Most of the people he encounters are pretty damaged themselves. And he - being a man of moral capacity - is in a position to help them...or hurt them even more. And what he chooses will probably reflect on him, and his health or debility.
5. The MC - being a man of moral capacity - is quite troubled by this. I remember an old "Twilight Zone" episode where a low-time crook/gambler died and was sent to a place that looked like a ritzy hotel. All the women fawned on him, he never lost a game, he did nothing but win. And at the end, he realized it wasn't Heaven - it was actually Hell. What's the worth of winning if nothing you do is actually responsible for it? If there's no way to ever lose? All it does is highlight how utterly impotent and meaningless you are....which is a theme often reflected in this game/story.
6. We don't know the consequences of these decisions, for the most part. It was pointed out to him (and us) that if, and how, he engages with these people will ultimately impact him and the crucial decision he has to make. This is not at all a "Stimulus-Response" game. These are cumulative effects.
7. Woven all throughout this is the idea of self-determination. As mentioned "Order paved the way" for some folks, the glamor definitely impacts them - do these women have a choice? Also...does the MC have a choice? Is it rape? Is it slavery? The idea of personal agency - or the lack thereof - is central to the entire project.
8. Jenner is awesome. A 'lovable idiot', as I believe he's referenced at one point. That is all.
That's the 'game'. That's the story. There are a lot of really hot models to enjoy with whom he'll likely be intimate with most of them. You can play as a person trying to salvage some sense of worth and meaning and regain being a loved and loving man, or you can (probably) play a complete narcissistic self-indulgent user of people (I say 'probably' because I've not tried that path, but it appears to be there).
If none of that interests you, then I highly recommend you try another game, or hold down 'Ctrl' to fast-forward to the fapping. But what I actually recommend most is trying it. Because it's a helluva story.
Maybe it'll help to consider that the tags reflect what may, or does, happen in the game - but the game isn't meant to conform to the limitations of the tags. It's a chicken-and-the-egg thing - very much the story drives the tags. It's not meant to be limited by them.
But really - if you're not going to engage with the story, why are you here in the first place? Why complain about something that is in no way compulsory and is completely your choice? If you tried it and don't like, fine - give a tip o' the hat and move along. Bravo for trying it! But if you're not going to bother to engage, and just moan on about how someone didn't make something that YOU wanted, well...I just don't understand that.
