What kind of burnout are we talking about? The author of this game is giving us some kind of noodles. The game is very rarely updated. Very very rarely. All people have problems, don't consider yourself the busiest person on the planet. If you don't want to make a game, don't do it, don't find 1000 excuses for yourself, we're not interested in it. And if you have problems, then contact a specialist and explain to him that 2 updates per year causes you to burn out. Great joke.

I was frustrated with the developer as well. However, I have come to appreciate his masterpiece and hope that soon enough he will give us something in terms of an update. The sex scenes between Rick and FMC as well as Tyrone and FMC are classics. The kissing scenes are dramatic and stimulating. Maybe he can offer us more such scenes in his update, whenever it happens.

Oh well. Definitely moving on from this game then. TheApex seems to be an important project for him, but most of his fanbase is only interested in OnlyHer, (OH also looks 100x better than TA) I really like OnlyHer and was supporting the Dev on patreon for it. But seeing him splitting his energy and time into 2 projects even though he himself knows best that he doesnt have much time, is dumb decision-making and makes me lose interest to support him any further.

Good luck for the future though. Its a good game for what it is.

No, the game is NOT dead. That you could have seen just a couple posts above. Mr. Warmbeer still works on Only her, but has few time and a second project. So progess is not quick, esp. since it includes at least a partial rework of the gameloop.

from focusing and working solely on OnlyHer for several updates in a row especially after the reworked intro. He's currently working on his other game, The Apex, which is also undergoing its own heavy rework. To be fair, that latter game hasn't had an update in like two years. Anyway, WarmBeer said he'll update his games in rotation starting with The Apex followed by OnlyHer afterwards.

However, here's a list of a few things for OnlyHer that's been worked on...
  • Fully implemented the gallery system.
  • New renders to replace outdated ones.
  • Phone system intro -- the MC can send their wife off with whomever they chose on a dating app.
  • Code improvement and new variables that affects the wife's personality.
That said, it'll be quite a while before we see any meaningful new news on OnlyHer since, as mentioned earlier, the dev is currently only working on The Apex. Hope that helps to answer your question. Cheers!

Is he even updating the other game? I haven't seen squat.

I'll just keep on waiting and watching for the next Only Her update. :unsure:

I'm sure the dev knows very well what game brings in the big bucks, but they have fallen back on the classic "burn out" excuse to justify spending time not developing OnlyHer.

For anyone who hasn't read that Patreon post and didn't read between the lines:
- The developer is tired of developing OnlyHer, and is really more into the themes of The Apex, another of their projects.

They just didn't want to outright say this to their fans, because why else would someone become burnt out by focusing on developing a single project to completion, am I right?
