I was frustrated with the developer as well. However, I have come to appreciate his masterpiece and hope that soon enough he will give us something in terms of an update. The sex scenes between Rick and FMC as well as Tyrone and FMC are classics. The kissing scenes are dramatic and stimulating. Maybe he can offer us more such scenes in his update, whenever it happens.

Oh well. Definitely moving on from this game then. TheApex seems to be an important project for him, but most of his fanbase is only interested in OnlyHer, (OH also looks 100x better than TA) I really like OnlyHer and was supporting the Dev on patreon for it. But seeing him splitting his energy and time into 2 projects even though he himself knows best that he doesnt have much time, is dumb decision-making and makes me lose interest to support him any further.
Good luck for the future though. Its a good game for what it is.

No, the game is NOT dead. That you could have seen just a couple posts above. Mr. Warmbeer still works on Only her, but has few time and a second project. So progess is not quick, esp. since it includes at least a partial rework of the gameloop.

yes it is,took over a year for a "rework" who is not even finished so even next update we will not see anything new about the sandbox
any info on the next update? i though he was supposed to end the intro and send the update? did i missed something?

He's currently working on his other game, The Apex, which is also undergoing its own heavy rework. To be fair, that latter game hasn't had an update in like two years. Anyway, WarmBeer said he'll update his games in rotation starting with The Apex followed by OnlyHer afterwards.However, here's a list of a few things for OnlyHer that's been worked on...
- Fully implemented the gallery system.
- New renders to replace outdated ones.
- Phone system intro -- the MC can send their wife off with whomever they chose on a dating app.
- Code improvement and new variables that affects the wife's personality.

I'm sure the dev knows very well what game brings in the big bucks, but they have fallen back on the classic "burn out" excuse to justify spending time not developing OnlyHer.
For anyone who hasn't read that Patreon post and didn't read between the lines:
- The developer is tired of developing OnlyHer, and is really more into the themes of The Apex, another of their projects.
They just didn't want to outright say this to their fans, because why else would someone become burnt out by focusing on developing a single project to completion, am I right?
I don't think you're wrong, but I'm still not quite willing to go that hard. It ties into what I said earlier, that a full rework of OnlyHer starting when this thread, not the game was a bit over 2 years old, was quite a goal to set himself.
I can see him starting that with more honest intentions than realistic expectations, and getting burnt out.
But it's totally possible you're exactly right and I'm too forgiving. I partly defended the Star Wars prequels on a 1st date once.
In my opinion OnlyHer didn't need to be completely reworked rn. He should have continued the story and game first so it was at least at the minimum finished before deciding to rework it. That way fans could still play the game and enjoy without feeling put on hold for a different game. Then he could have reworked the game at his leisure without pressure from fans asking about it. Maybe some people didn't like the current story flow (creator included), but I would much rather continue the story than get reworked scenes I've already seen. On top of that while working on a new game? Seems like a quick way to get burnt out for sure.

fr, this game should be tagged as abandoned. and to be honest, any game that hasnt been updated for at least 6 months should be atomatically tagged as abandoned. the dev doesnt give a shit about this game anymore. hes just milking his patreons (kinda reminds me of dr.bones). he still have more than 40 active patreons.
the game had a lot of potential, but it was all flushed away
lets all accept that the game is dead
