Yes i read the post, but they cant genuinely believe crypto is not widespread enough can they? Several platforms accept only crypto donations and its more than sustainable for them, why would that be different for nopy? It feels to me like theyre just giving up. They already said the support from the community is there, they just dont wanna put in anymore effort
This will only get worse. These companies feel entitled to dictate the way society goes. They will continue to let businesses they are aligned with operate while random projects like this or politically unaligned businesses will just get canceled without warning whenever they fancy. And even if you have a theoretically viable legal case against them, they are unfathomably rich from siphoning off a bit on nearly every transaction taking place these days, so good luck outspending them in a drawn out court case where they can bring practically infinite amount of lawyers, hired expert witnesses and so on. That's not even getting into the question of election financing for judges in places where they are elected and how unbiased a trial can actually be under such conditions.
