I'm optimistic too, it's a high quality AVN that has a lot of things going for it, so I hope it'll succeed at least to some degree, it deserves it. But as you said, things can happen, we've seen it numerous times in the past (so thoughts and prayers? )

What I'm worried about with the story is that this kind of stories usually end when the MC becomes powerful. The name "Origin Story" leans that way too, it's just telling the origin, so the story will end when MC becomes the final product with enough powers. So we presumably won't get anything about the consequences of a person with so many powers over a long period of time, how others deal with such a person, and so on, except maybe squished into an epilogue.

I am just hoping the dev put some limits on Jack's powers so it doesn't turn into another generic power fantasy. So far he has delivered with the story and most characters. Evelyn would be the exception for me, it seems she changed a lot from one update to another. Even Jack found it strange.
I hope she is under effect of some drug or some power instead of simply being turned into the cliche trope of the cuckqueen girlfriend who is okay with a harem.

found it strange too, some kinda fuckery could be going on. We'll see. The plot could get more complicated than it seems imo, lots of possibilities with all these powers.
