Mod Appreciation Render #2: JeffersonSound
And here's one for the next mod, JeffersonSound and his fave girl, Ruth. Jeff is another yet another pillar or emotional and moral support who's helped me a great deal, and has also left his mark on Origin Story in the way of some of the music in the game. Four tracks so far and probably more to come. Though he (and his partner) created three of those tracks exclusively for OS, there was one that I heard months ago and I knew that I needed it for a particular scene, so he let me use it. I kept the fact that it would be the first thing you hear in Ruth's first love scene a surprise. I wish I could have seen his face (but then swiftly leave the room because we all know what he would have been doing shortly after, dirty fucker). He's a good egg.

Mod Appreciation Render #3: Crow
And lastly, the render that started this whole trio off... a special I did for Crow, the #1 Evelyn fan. Rounding off my trio of "just good people", comes Crow, who along with the usual discord mod help, is a huge part of the testing and proofreading of Origin Story. Yes, he may not like some paths I've carved, but he'll give testing those scenes his all regardless, because he is a bro. Such a bro, in fact, that I know he'll be perfectly fine with the Evelyn bimbofication content I have coming up. I can't wait to see her with kuko-worthy beachball tits... wait, nevermind, he just quit his role as my mod. I'll scrap that idea.

its never been 2 or 3 month release cycle always been or has been 5 to 7 months.

Update/Release Schedule
So far I have been maintaining a release schedule of 2-3 months per chapter. Hopefully this can continue.

But it feels like if the dev spent his time developing actual story renders instead of a bunch of specials everyday, we could have the updates even faster

Yeah, it always puzzle's me when people complain about Dev's doing special renders for whatever occasions, it's literally like maybe a few hours work for them.

they want the next update asap.

and for the devs its probably just having some fun outside doing the VN stuff,like they already did a bunch for the VN so they just wanna do one for fun.
why not do one or a few for the fans/mods to show some appreciation.

The first 4 Chapters were 2-3 months apart.

However, part of the reason he was able to do that is because he had started work on Chapter 3 before releasing Chapter 1, so he had a big buffer that a lot of devs don't start with.

He's been transparent that a 2-3 month release cycle wasn't permanently sustainable because eventually he'd catch up, so starting with Chapter 5 it shifted to 3-4 months per release.

And then his real life job became a bit more demanding, so I'd expect it to be on the upper end of that now, particularly because these middle chapters have more branching to deal with and have grown in size.

But in any case, he's released 8 Chapters in 2 years (a few days ago was the two-year anniversary of Ch 1 release), so an average of around 3 months per update so far.

I like to amuse myself by thinking about what MC did to poor Santa to gain his ability to fly the sleig

Funny story, but you can thank a special render for why the Anna/Arwen/Evelyn foursome/cuckquean scene even exists. It wasn't originally planned, but after making a special render of Ev, Anna, and Arwen together the dev decided it actually was a pretty fun idea that could work within the AVN itself.

The same thing happened with Lucia in a huge way. Her whole PowerPlay plot didn't exist until a supporter asked for a special render of her posing naked in a public place. And JDOR decided to expand a whole storyline and background for her based on that, and that's why she's now a main LI instead of just a bitchy white whale side LI.

So yes, technically special renders take some time away from game renders, but it's not really a lot. And it can be an excellent way for devs to creatively explore ideas.

devs using some idea's from fans isn't a rare thing,its rarely 1 to 1 though ,usually its a small part which inspired a idea in a dev.
