Most people with powers seem to turn their powers on and off, and or being either immune or resistant to any side effects or not having any. Examples being Ruth has durability and healing to offset any damage to her body caused by using her super strength, and Coldsnap doesn't seem to be effected by her own cold.

So it's strange that Amber can't control her power, but more to the point of this post, isn't immune to her own power. She has stated that she can't see her own body because she's invisible. I'm wondering if her inability to see herself is an extension of inability to turn off and on her power. When she's able to control it at will, will she then be able to see herself or will she remain unable to do so? And if not, will MC be able to see himself after adapting the power for himself like how Ruths powers changed? Or will it require evolving the power like what was done to Ev's power? And if so, could we then take that as a sign that MC will cause evolution in his girls powers too?

Damn, I didn't see that at all.

That's an interesting hypothesis.
That makes me wonder if her power is not invisibility at all but rather something like transmutation, with her turning her entire body into something thats transparent or some shit like that, and that could be good reason for why she hasn't been able control it, she could have simply misunderstood her powers.

Did she say she can't see her body at all, or that she can't see her reflection? Because I thought it was the latter. I wonder how difficult it would be to not be able to see your own arms/legs when trying to move around or interact with things around you. You could try to simulate that with VR, but it's not exact since you wouldn't be able to feel your surroundings.

could we then take that as a sign that MC will cause evolution in his girls powers too?
Maybe it will be introduced in the story as the solution for Amber's problem, just like how Moonsong came up with the pills that the MC can use to capture powers.

She can't see herself at all, I feel if she was only unable to see her own reflection, there would have been a comment about being like a vampire made by either herself or MC, and the only vampire mentioned in the game was the guy who copied powers by drinking blood.

If her entire body were transparent then her eyes wouldn't work at all and she'd be totally blind. The problem of invisible people not being able to see has been discussed ad nauseum by comic book nerds for a very long time, with the general consensus being that light is allowed to the retinas while the rest of the external person is invisible. That allows them to blink and close their eyes to block out light.

If her invisibility is something that takes whatever is on the opposite side of her body and maps that onto her skin (or some kind of skin-level projection field) then not only would no one be able to see her but she wouldn't be able to see herself either.
