are story-focused games aimed at a female audience where a female protagonist romances male characters.
The definition I will use for this list is a slight bit broader, as it can be difficult to deduce a target audience for a game and some games are more sandbox-y then the typical VNs associated with the genre. However, all the games I have listed I have either seen discussed in otome circles, seem to have the traits commonly associated with otome games, or are explicitly described as otome games. While F95 does not yet have one, VNDB does have an Otome tag

Note that I'm adding games to either subsection based on their F95 tags, some older games may not have as accurate tagging so the may be in the wrong section currently.

abandoned as a sublist is fine, otherwise you'd have to apply arbitrary criteria like "it's abandoned but there's x hours of satisfying content in" or "this or that love interest's route has been finished" to add titles still worth playing, and those who'd browse through it can decide if they want to engage with the appetizer stuff that died at v0.002

(the op not going out of their way to personally look for abandoned games to add is also fine)

I haven't yet ordered them alphabetically but I plan to do so soon. I might add a note to any abandoned games in the list.
