Well... I have a little problem... I play the game from the first release with the "Incest patch" and I have a daughter... Ok. Now I'm start again from the beginning (with the patch) and the DNA test tells me "She's not my daughter"... I try severals times with all the choices (be friendly - be understanding - be cold - etc, etc... all the options and combinations... And allways the same... Is a patch's problem?

@CedSense I spotted a couple of instances where Claire is referred to as being related to the MC despite my picking her not to be for that save.
Both of those were taken in a save playing the dark route, with Claire not being related.

The game is good, I just hate the teasing part and better off waiting. Doesn't mean wait till the game finished, unless when it happening (dad fuk daughter), is the last part of the game. Thousand of porn games already, but for me, 'No Incest No Party'.

I'm on the romance route (path = 1) and i have a question about the coding in sr14.rpy.
When you vistit Melinda in the motel there comes the line 2735:
if path == 2 and ad_together == 0 and gf_together == 0 or path < 0:
$ agw_together = 1
With my " path = 1 " i can't get the " $ agw_together = 1 ", correct ?
But later when you get back to your home and you thougt about Melinda, from line 3139 to 3184, comes:
if path > 0:
if path == 1 and agw_together == 1:
fa "(That was unexpected... It feels so strange... [agw] and me! It seems almost unreal...)"
If you can't get Melinda on "path = 1" then nobody can see the text for this combination, or am i wrong?

So I finished the dark route, and it really is dark. At some points it was a little much even for me. He really is a complete bastard if you pick that one, entirely different to the light route where he spends most of the game extremely reluctant (I know it's not finished yet, but it still feels like a very long time). I wouldn't mind a bit of middle ground, like if he could be dominating but still actually protective of his daughter, or nice but fine with being the dirty old man who enjoys looking at an attractive teenager (but not expecting to do anything).

If I may say so:
I'm a seriously nice guy IRL and I almost never feel the need to behave otherwise (not even out of curiosity), thus even in games I tend to stick to the good-guy-route and I really like that route here... ...sticking to that route in this game completely excludes me from getting anything going with Melinda as far as I can tell, though. And since I wanted to have a look at that I thought to myself "okay, let's give that no-romance-route a go" and I think that if being neutral is the most positive the MC can come up with and the stuff that comes with it, it's a hefty price I'm paying to get there while thinking "why the hell would Melinda go from regular-douche Sammy to serious-god-complex-douche MC???"...

I generally prefer the good-guy routes too, but in this case he really annoys me with how much he complains about having an 18-year-old beauty making eyes at him. Even after he realises that he's not simply perving on her, she's actually into him too, he still complains about it. Whatever else we might think about asshole MC, at least he isn't doing that.
Based on a recent post, I think that not getting involved with Claire should allow a nice MC to get with Melinda but it was bugged so we'll have to wait for the next update.
As for why Melinda would get involved with asshole MC, it doesn't seem that complicated to me; she's into strong, dominant men. What's the mystery?

Firstly I think that she's mostly into money - at least she fits that stereotype perfectly - just look at Sammy (and for me that would actually be the valid argument for her "falling for" MC). But secondly I wouldn't call her stupid or completely ignorant and dark route MC is just a major asshole, so I don't get why anyone even remotely in his/her right mind would voluntarily be close to him... ...although I've got to admit that we're knowing more than a regular character in the game does since we're reading his thoughts as well - but that's exactly what makes me despise this version of MC so much...

I am seconding what I seem to see is a general consensus in most recent posts: We need a middle route, benevolent but dominant, caring yet pervy. It seems a lot of us want to be good to our daughter/her friends but also fuck them. lol. As the darkpath MC is a fucking prick and from what i'm reading alot of people despise him.

I don't think it's nearly as simple as her just being into money. She certainly enjoys shopping, but I think mainly she likes attention (that and confident men, and if there's one thing you can't fault asshole MC for it's lack of confidence). I actually think that when she's training Claire she's being more straightforward than you might expect, and some of what she says is what she really thinks. It would fit with how it wasn't Sammy being with other women that upset her, but when he stopped paying attention to her.
Don't forget that it's not just MC that is different in the dark route, she's different as well, and is pretty twisted herself in that route. They've been friends for a long time, and just seem like a natural match to me. If you notice, she refers to Claire as "our" pet, she's really right alongside him with his "project".
You can more or less have that on the nice guy / romance route. Nice guy, but still perving/leering/spying and feeling guilty afterwards.
Only, it's not a harem game. Likely for the sake of realism.
The only NPC's I can see who could be ok with the MC being together with Claire are:
- Anna, who is not (yet?) an option for the MC
- Melinda (maybe)
- Shenice for obvious reasons
The other ones, certainly not, although in the beginning I hoped that Susan could be persuaded.
