I think there's a legit concern in there somewhere. There is a lack of development in the relationship between father and daughter, I don't really know much about her beyond her being naive. It also feels weird if you play the pervy daddy route, he's always talking a big game about what he's going to do to her and then his actions are always platonic dad actions. The disconnect takes me right out of the story. So it's a two-fold problem, both routes fail to satisfy. If you are there for the romance, the diversions with the other girls popping up stops you from getting to know the daughter. If you want to be evil, it's all talk, he acts like good daddy no matter what.

I don't think there is. You can say there is a lack of sexual interaction, I would agree. But if you consider the fact they've known each other for a few weeks and she is a virgin, and he is a 'normal' guy. Just that, would be enough for anyone to understand that it's not that easy.

All the 'side female characters' are important to the story, every single one of them, they don't distract from anything, they add to the plot, of course, if you want an actual plot in the game you're playing.

I can understand people wanting to 'get to it' quicker. It will happen in Our fate, and no, not in one year, but if you really can't wait for it to happen organically, there are plenty of games that can satisfy you.

No, I've no problem with slowly-build content, or romance or whatever dev decide. It just that when I search a game by tags, the content should've according with the tags. When I see 'Vaginal Sex' mean the game have sex scene already and I'm expecting to see some at some point of the game. But if there's non yet but planned, should be taken out from the genre and tell it's planned to have the particular tags in mention. I'm no here to bashing developers ... I'm here to bite their ass.

I think you kind of deflected there, assuming everyone has the bog standard "where am teh sex" mentality. The amount of side girl sex is hadly organic and something a lot of games do. Maybe it's due to the monthly update structure, but if the daughter has personality and character, it's become lost in the shuffle. So if anything, the game's sex scenes are getting in the way of giving us a better picture of who she is.

To any thinking that there is little development or slow development in the storyline with Dad and Daughter I'd like to point out that she's just let her best friend know that she's seriously into him. It gets massively overused in lesser games, but think for a moment about how huge a step that really is. Seriously, how many of your own friends IRL have you told that you like to fap to incest porn games? And that's just admitting to a taste for it, never mind letting it slip to them if you actually felt that way about an immediate blood relative.

In life, many things have momentum and have to deal with inertia. When you have to push-start a van, it barely seems to move at first. However, as it starts to move, it becomes easier and faster with every moment as the momentum builds. Good writing works the same way. It snowballs.

Because this is a visual novel, not just a clickety-click game, it cares about good storytelling (or at least hopes to). So, it takes a believable approach to the slow build up to the tipping point (Incidentally, the book 'Tipping Point' by Gladwell, while nothing to do with incest or porn per se, is a great read to understand better the thing about inertia, power-laws, and how some things snowball while others fizzle out).

If you just want to get straight to sex scenes, without much if any story, you'll probably find regular porn available on porn sites is more your thing.

Right, the movie was called "Bend it like Beckham", and was about a girl who was a fan. It wasn't called "Bend it with Beckham". I see you are in the habit of blaming your disappointment on the movie (or game) for not conforming magically to your expectation, rather than learning to make smarter expectations. Interesting.

Actually, I was arguing more on the point of good storytelling than just modelling real life. You can take storytelling to some pretty fantastic and unrealistic places that are quite unlike life as we know it (sci-fi and fantasy), but you have to still have internal logic and consistency so that the universe you create seems to have actual laws and reality.

It seems, based on your criticisms, that you prefer the shallower end of the pool, where there are worlds where an 18yr old girl has never masturbated and asks for Daddy to help teach her how. Where that same ultra-repressed girl sees Dad naked in a shower once, and he bought her an ice-cream yesterday, so suddenly she wants to screw him. Don't worry, there are plenty of games for you out there.

What I absolutely love about this game is that it isn't that stupid, shallow, unrealistic, and written like the fantasy of someone who's never got past first base at all. It's deeper, more thoughtful, and far, far more believable. Nobody is saying that you have to feel the same way. You can find a hundred games more to your tastes. But don't try to spoil one of the very, very few games there are that actually have some thought and depth in them for those of us who have so few others to choose from.

If you don't like it, play something else. Why spoil it for those who love it BECAUSE of the things you are criticising? You think cheeseburgers are fine dining after all.

but i have to agree with the original complaint - MC appears to play it too safe right now. I don't play any of the other routes to avoid interest saturation, but the corruption/slut and domination/fixated on MC routes appear quite... sanitized/family friendly. apart from the comentary at least.

Now, the exact thought process depends on which route you are taking, but whichever, you can understand that this isn't someone he knows well, can predict the reactions of, or can easily even gauge his own reactions towards. Yeah, he's cautious, because they really are not part of each other's lives for more than just a couple of weeks. One misstep could send her running away - and he doesn't even know her well enough to read her signals yet, nor she his.

2. BDSM really isn't my thing so I've not been seeking out the domination routes especially. I've taken the dominant path a few times mostly because the other alternative was a submissive one, and that definitely wasn't where I wanted to take my playthrough. However, I've seen more than one poster in the thread who especially picked out the domination to praise. I think for the exact same reasons that the pace is right. If you go pulling out the whips and un-prepped buttsex on someone on the first night, it doesn't tend to make them a fan of more. Instead the game seems to have a believable pace of starting simple and getting more adventurous - just as the experiences with the daughter are going.

3. One of the most popular games is Dating My Daughter and just how many episodes and updates were there to that before daughter started getting physical? 12? More? I honestly can't remember but I'm pretty sure this game will get there with a few more updates too, sooner than DMD did, and a hell of a lot more believably.

Also, sadly, there were a lot of examples already where teasing just goes and goes for 12+ episodes(year+) with all that bunch of side girls(so far i like almost all the side girls presented here) and then there are like 3 renders with what we were waiting so much in the last update and game ends... :FeelsBadMan: While step-dev is something like this :tf:

We can all agree that it's not DMD slow as @Kendra's implying. You could argue it's going quicker than some organic real life relationships that @CedSense is trying to capture. You could also argue that some bits could be moved quicker so you get to see what you're really after. But taking what @CedSense said about every side character being important, wouldn't you want the story to be fully developed so you understand why they're so important and how they react?

Just my two cents on the pacing.

1) First of, I love this games pacing so far.
2) The progress in DMD is a bit off. You can fool her into rubbing her tits and masturbation HJ, BJ, but draws the line at sex. Similar to Lisa in Big Brother. This is a bit odd.
3) The best and most realistic progress I have found so far is The daughter in "Daughter for Desserts".

In my experience in RL it's like breaking a wall. So progress is like breaking the wall, the tools are kissing, making out, heavy petting, dry humping etc.. You will not get HJ, BJ and all that kinda thing while trying to break the wall, but once broken it will basically jump straight to sex together with HJ BJ and all that goes with it.
