Lena becoming submissive and allowing Ian and Louise to go on while she is content watching and becoming the second choice seems out of character with no build-up at all.
I think it depends on how Ian is played -- Ian with high chad variable can be increasingly bossy and dominant towards Lena, and Lena gets off on that like a couch-staining firework. There's both potential buildup here and a repeat of Lena's relationship with Axel, for people who like poetry in their porn.

Don't forget that Lena being dominant towards Louise is entirely optional, and without it Lena is relatively meek, with little to no inclinations towards dominating anyone herself. (she can try it with Ian after Louse fucks her face, and Ian can potentially immediately shut that down, or encourage )

Does this game have the same level of corruption as GGGD? As in (if I recall) the main protag could end up with a drug addiction and getting triple teamed by gang members next to her best friend.

I've thought so too, until I saw poll here somewhere showing FMC is more popular, plus the majority of players confirmed they prefer to play as FMC which is confusing to me.
For this game yes, but not in general. EK already has a fanbase who loves FMC because of her previous game.

But across all games, MMC are preferred, especially for the self-insert crowd

While I am not in the majority here, I think ORS has the potential for greater corruption than GGGB, but not in such an explicit way as with the gang activities and incestuous behavior. ORS , depending on how it is played, can deliver a corruption based on the surrender of the submissive to the dominant. It is unclear as to how strongly EK will develop this theme.

Well, then I will continue with my faithful Lena and my cheating Ian and roleplaying in my head.

Although to be honest, I like it better when both are faithful to their open relationship.
Pretty much what I do.
I like the idea of Lena getting devasteted about Ian and Cindy and the latter two fucking in front of her and Cindy having a rerun on the shouting match in the bar.
Or Ian and Minerva fucking while Lena (who made fun of Minerva) loses her shit.
Or Ian and Louise fucking and spitting on Lena who was bitchy towards both of them.
And pregnant bimbo Alison getting haughty toward vanilla Lena and Holly.

No, its far more subdued and grounded.

Thanks. I appreciate the info.

I think a female MC generally plays more erotically but most of the games on this site appear to have male MCs. I suppose males generally prefer male MCs?
Personally I prefer a female MC by far. Cannot explain. Subconscious sissy fetish (not at all conscious for sure), Being a male patriarchal chauvinist who wants to have a woman behave exactly as he wants (again not conscious at all), who knows. All I know is that harem games have no interest to me whatsoever. I don't need to fantasize about getting laid with many women, I had my own share in my teens-twenties-thirties.

Yeah, that's definitely the best route to play in this game.

If you kill one of them, you kill half of the cast with them. Remove Ian, you remove Emma, Perry, Wade and Cindy (the model rivalry is underdeveloped and a sidething), Alison, Cherry, Minerva, Jessica. If you remove Lena, you remove Axel, Seymour, Stan, Louise, Mike, Ivy, Ed and Molly. You remove either Ians book and tpurnament career with all its characters, events and gameplay, or Lena's music and modeling career. The game would end as an unrecognizable ampituted multilated monstrosity beyond recognition.
Look on the bright side, if Ian fails as a writer, he still has the option of fighting in MMA, after all, he's not bad at it. :KEK:

i really liked the kickboxing style for Ian. he absolutely destroyed his opponet where as with the judo i found the fight hard to win without having to load my saves a fair bit to try a different strategy. but with the kickboxing i got the win easily on the first try. so now any new run i do i will do with kickboxing over judo.
hope that EK has Ian go to town on Axel and Seymour with the kickboxing for their harrassment of Lena. Chad Ian rocks!

Kickboxing was so easy and satisfying. Dodge-Combo, you get a knock out every time.

I like Ian as a protagonist for the game cause he thrives in so many areas many other AVNs fail their male MCs. To start with Ian is a decently okay guy. He is average height, moderately good looking, doesn't have a massive schlong, and has different hobbies and aspirations. So he is at worst an average guy. This leaves the door open for a lot of growth and character development while also making his transformation more grounded. He was just recently cheated on which really shattered his confidence and greatly affected his perception of his self. This is a good starting point for his character. This is already a better premise for a male character than 90 percent of other AVNs. If this was other games, you would probably play as a Jeremy, Mike, Axel or even Stan. Also Ian can effectively serve as a self insert for that particular crowd that like to play AVNs that way.

Now the second part of why I like Ian has more to do with ORS as a game rather than with Ian himself. Characters in ORS are highly customiseable and this enhances his character arcs. You can play Ian as meek, or more confident and outgoing. You can also influence how his arc progresses across the chapters. Whether he works on himself and improves his standing in life, or regresses and falls deeper into the pits of despair. Also how corrrupt he can become. The can play Ian to become very reminicsent of Jeremy where he just sees women as objects of desire and just goals to be attained. Or you could play a very sweet Ian that is very empathetic and a bit naive and very loyal. Or you can even complete his character by becoming a villian and ultimately become the thing that set you on this path or even worse, a serial cheater.

Now I generally prefer to play as male characters in games cause that's just my preference. That doesn't mean I can't play as female characters. But if this game didn't have a male protaonist, I probably would have missed out on this gem of a game. Cause I absolutely fell in love with Lena as a character. In terms of characterisation, I would say she is better than Ian. In fact, she surpeasses Ian in every other department too except his love interest of course. But I don't see this as a negative. It makes the game more believeable since these are the kind of unsavoury individuals that would normally take interest to a girl like Lena. Another area Ian might have her beat is probably in the corruption department. Now this only is true if you go on the full slutty Lena path. This version of Lena tends to be all over the place (In more ways than one). And can be very inconsistent at times. In my opinion this version of Lena is far inferior to the fully corrupt version of Ian.

So in summary I like both protagonists and would not have a problem playing either as solo MCs. But I see it as an added benefit you can play as both. It is difficult to execute though and is a shame it has caused difficulties for the author. But I hope she can still deliver on the qualiyty of the game.

I'm in need of some opinions. I recently joked about how one would go about making Ian a himbo, and I went through and made a save where he didn't pick any intelligence experience choices, failed writing his book and publishing choices, and has mostly focused on going to the gym. It worked out better than I was honestly expecting as both he and Lena are intelligent and capable people, and don't have the innocent naivety that Ash had in GGGB. He's been mostly affable and charming, but not outright horny all the time. But I'm honestly struggling with how to make Lena a bimbo.

Obviously same restriction on intelligence choices, but what major decisions does she need to make?
I don't exactly want her to just be taking all the slutty options, just like Ian didn't take all the chad options, so what are her best bimbo choices? I guess the result I'm envisioning is Ian and Lena being a very friendly, but insipid vapid couple. So obviously not much a of song writer for Lena, but should that extend to her dance classes? Shame that the dance classes are tied directly to her fitness level.

I don't think I want her getting involved with Seymour, sorry Andrea9999, but I could be talked into it if a compelling enough case is presented. Similarly, I think she'll do StalkFap, but maybe not all the lusty options  It's hard to say, and I honestly feel like I'm missing something obvious, because turning Lena into a psuedo bimbo and not an out and out slut seems way harder than turning Ian into a psuedo himbo.

Make Lena super nice to Stan and make him your photographer. Keep her posh stat at the lowest it can be. Accept Seymour's proposal at first. Each time you meet him, instead of getting ready, do something else. This will have the hilarious side effect of having Seymour become increasingly irritated with Lena with each meeting. Make up with Axel but don't date him. Sleep with Robert but dump him at the earliest chance. Flirt with Mike but don't sleep with him. Lie to Ed about where you need to be then use your looks to get your way. Her passion should be enjoying life. Have her do drugs but no cigarettes. Try to seduce Billy (Ivy will cockblock regardless). Sell Seymour's necklace and show up to dinner with him in the slutty outfit. This will compound his annoyance. Reject his patronage. Have her hate her mom. Tell Louise about Jeremy and become her mistress.

This was what I could think of off the top of my head.

I may not have played the game enough times or may not have paid enough attention to back up what I am going to say, but my impression is that Lena's character is built upon a foundation of some minimum of intelligence and compassion which precludes complete bimbosity. I really do skip a lot of the dialog that does not appear to interest me, but it seems that she is always kind and well-meaning and reasonable in her giving of advice to others or sharing her outlook. The only real brainless part that I have so far explored in her character is being mean to Stan which is incongruous with her nature everywhere else in the game and certainly with other play-throughs I have done.

Seymour, in my view, is not the way to go for bimboism; I think her submissive side plays at its erotic best when she has both intelligence and empathy; my favorite play is where she unashamedly embraces the role of camel, pointing out that the so-called higher-ups depend on the camel to get anything done in the world. (In that play I try to maximize wit and minimize will.)

Deepest apologies if I sound like a Defeatist Debbie, but I think bimboism is best found in GGGB.
