At some point in the future, towards the conclusion of the story, it will matter, but as of right now, there is no certainty as to what the best card combinations are.
Yeah I tried different combinations after selecting all the same decisions and basically nothing changed. I suppose they artificially inflate points depending on what's selected?

Anyhow, this game is such a terrific GGGB follow-up. Both games are amazing. I'm hoping there are more debaucherous paths added but other than that I wouldn't change a thing.

I wonder sometimes if Eva Kiss is a woman. The game shows men doing whatever they want with no consequences, except for the fact of Ian losing Lena. I think that is the only moment his behavior is kept in check. jeremy's behavior never is. But when a female does anything close to what men usually do they get punished. Like Lena losing her job if she doesn't want to sleep with Robert and if She rejects Seymour. She is threaten to lose everything if she just want to live a whore life (like all the men in the game) but she doesn't want to bend to any man. This is the only thing I am not happy about in the game.
The dual nature of the two paths are probably a large part of why Lena faces consequences. Lena's path is largely a corruption game her narrative revolves around her doing "dirty things" just to survive. Nonetheless do any other women face consequences for their actions? feel like Lena is pretty much the only one.

On another note, isn't that true to real life, dude's doing skummy shit and it's "Boys will be boys", woman does same thing and she a "slut" or a "bitch", maybe Eva's channeling her own "life experiences".

Yeah, this is what I feel. About the acceptance for men and discrimination for women. I mean, it is seen as corruption as you said, but it is just Lena working as model, the way she wanna do it, and having sex with a lot of men. I wouldn't judge her for that (like Ian doesn't). But I understand, in this world, people would see it the way you described.

does this creator update regularly? what periods of time does it take for a new update? is it worth the wait?
As the game has grown, updates have become more infrequent. Started off monthly, then became bimonthly, and lately it's been in the 3-4 month area. Eva is currently doing a rewrite of some previous content, so I wouldn't expect a new chapter until maybe May or June.

When releases *do* happen, they are usually high quality of decent length (an hour or two of playtime). It's very exciting when they come out. The wait is frustrating, but it's always worth it.

Don't be so dramatic. Lena hasn't reached bad girl Jessica levels yet. Only radfems think that "boys will be boys" means "being a borderline rapist". Besides, being a horndog Ian ruins his chances with more than a few of the ladies, especially Lena and Holly.

>Boys will be boys
>Ignoring that Ian gets fucked if he tries to pursue more than 1 girl at a time, fucking around always bites him in the ass
>Ignoring that Lena can fuck every character in the game with no consequences whatsoever.
>Ignoring that most of the other 'boys', i.e Lena's LIs are literally sociopaths on a power trip.
Nice analogy bud.

Not to get into this old mess again but you're not exactly right.
>Ignoring that Lena can fuck every character in the game with no consequences whatsoever.
If she fucks both Ian and Robert they can start a fight and Ian will comment on how he's dissapointed in Lena and thought she was better than this. After this she'll have to make a decision about Robert.
If she dates Ian she can still end up cheating on him with Axel, which leaves her flustered and confused and you cannot say this will be consequences free.
Also the whole Semour mess is about to emerge.
>Ignoring that Ian gets fucked if he tries to pursue more than 1 girl at a time, fucking around always bites him in the ass
So far Ian can sleep with Minerva + every other girl, not 100% sure about the rest but I don't think there is any conflict with Emma + everyone other than Allison, so he can even go Minerva + Emma + someone else. From what I recall, in order to get bitten in the ass, Ian needs to do some very specific things like promise Lena commitment then sleep around, try to fuck every girl in his friend group and.. that's it, isn't it?

My Lena can sleep around all she wants and make tons of money. That is the only to play her, ie GGGB style. Who cares about consequences lmao. Her best scenes arent with Ian anyways.

But seriously on the topic of consequences and whether Lena or Ian has more, who knows, maybe Eva is also dissatisfied with how it turned out and will address it in future chapters or the remake itself. She is rewriting Stan after all, maybe ya'll will finally get a LI worthy of Lena's affection :KEK:. Good luck with that.

Its true about Lena's scenes with Ian. It makes me so sad that Ian is small and pathetic. The romance vibes in his route with Lena are second best (losing only to Holly x Ian)- but the guy is not hot.

Also, agree that Lena doesn't currently seem to have any viable route to success but to mega-slut. Almost all her stat points, narrative, and monetary growth is on those routes. Maybe it is a long term plan to give her alternatives? Playing her route as someone who dislikes corruption narratives feels like "avoidance simulator" the game.

Of course. But- my point is we don't have narrative supporting her working on other projects or trying to better herself.

If she skips out on all the asshole dudes she doesn't develop any skills.

If she skips on the photo-shoots ect she doesn't use the time to develop other skills or seek other assets. The choice is either do it or not. There is no path for her to improve herself in other vectors.

Well, you have her passion / talent for music. And in my current playthrough this seems to be a valid open for her, which could lead to something. Of course, you have to make the right choices which leads towards this.

I think the obvious choices are not always the best ones. Sometime you need to select something, that back fires to you, but in the end leads to something better. Like Ian which can decide to write an honest book review, which leads towards that he gets less money in the first place, but in the end give him a possibility for a new job opportunity (writing of the column of the new literature magazine).

As Eva talked about in the recent Q&A, Ian's and Lena's paths aren't meant to be symmetrical, so it's true that Lena can get away with some things Ian can't. But it's not completely true that she can sleep with everyone without consequences either, just like it's not completely true that Ian always gets punished for it.

A big part of the reason Ian can't sleep with everyone in the same playthrough, is that he's got a big group of friends (which Lena doesn't), and most of his sexual options are within that group. So he'll have to completely or partially choose between Alison/Cherry, Alison/Emma, Holly/Cindy, Holly/Lena and Lena/Cherry. When he meets someone outside of his inner circle, like Minerva, he can do what he wants without consequences, just like Lena. He's also a guy who's both fairly attractive and have some personal characteristics that make him the kind of person several of the characters could fall for romantically. That's an advantage in some scenarios, but it's also a disadvantage if you want him to sleep around as much as possible.

But there's also limitations on Lena's path: She's got to completely or partially choose between Mike/Louise, Louise/Jeremy, Mike/Robert/Ian and Ian/Holly. Louise, Jeremy and Holly are her only options within her or Ian's group of friends. Louise is an insanely jealous person, and that's bound to cause trouble; she's also likely to be in deep trouble with Louise and Ian if it's revealed that she's involved with Jeremy; and Holly is only an option for her if Ian doesn't take his chances. So when the conditions are similar, Lena's also got similar limilations as Ian.

And while Lena can sleep around with less consequences, there's other areas where her conditions are way more difficult than Ian's. Even though Ian doesn't like his current job that much, it's still within the industry he wants to work in, and he's got very few financial troubles. He can keep his job with or without sleeping with his boss, and if he somehow manages to use all his money, he can still ask his dad for a higher grant and/or Perry to delay payment of the rent. Lena had to quit her studies to make money for her family, and she also ends up losing her job even if she sleeps with Robert to prevent it. And the only way to progress her modelling career (at the moment) is to do more daring shoots with Axel and Seymour. The continued presence of her cheating ex-boyfriend also makes it harder for her to move on than it is for Ian. Also her two closest friends from the start of the game, Louise and Ivy, can't stay in the same room without making life miserable for everyone around.

Whether Ian's or Lena's limitations are the most frustrating is down to how each player wants to play the game and shape the characters, I guess. But personally I'm more bothered about Lena's struggles with her working life and social life than the fact that Ian can't sleep with everyone in the same playthrough. And while it's also true that Lena doesn't experience the kind of slut shaming women often get if they have many sexual partners, she's the victim of another realistic gender related consequence of the situation she's in: the many dudes (Seymour, Axel, Billy, guys on Stalkfap) trying to take advantage of her in the vulnerable situation she's in.

Great breakdown.
