Yep, After this game is done goodbye forever to the dual protagonists, I'm sure that Eva Kiss is glad to have explored different ideas but I doubt that she wants to bring back dual protagonists after seeing all the effort that this game is demanding of her. Personally I'm glad, considering the time that Eva spends to develop I would not recommend her to make more games with multiple protagonists

Dual protagonist game is good for every other dev except Eva... dont get me wrong, Eva really bring the branching story system to whole new level, you can play GGGB many times and still cant unlock some of its scene, thats enough to prove how complex the branching story system that Eva makes for her game... and dual protagonist game doesnt really work well with the developer like Eva

You cant find any other game that has more compex branching story system than her games... and with dual protagonist, i think she finally find her limit, the way she struggled with every updates shows how difficult to makes dual protagonist game with her standard of branching story system complexity... Its not that ORS has bad written story in it, it just she needs a lot more time to write ORS story than what she needs to write the GGGB story and the options that she has when it comes to makes the next chapter story became more and more less, because she needs to makes story that highlight the two protagonist at the same time...

I really hope that in the next game, she only choose one protagonist game, because its not worth it to burn out herself every months just to finish the games when she should be happy and relax when develop her games

Umm, you know, you cant really seperated ugly bastard or creppy guy with female protagonist corruption games, you can find any female protagonist game that had corruption tag in it and there must be at least one character that represent ugly bastard or creppy guy, even GGGB has that ugly bastard or creppy guy character in them, so its kinda the rules you need to follow for female protagonist game that has corruption tag in it

While this is a most likely a troll attempt and parts of it are plain wrong (swimming in money if EK suspended payments), I understand the sentiment that long periods between episodes are problematic. Instead of pointing out problems how about brainstorming solutions.

I could get behind a 45 to 60-day update schedule with a focus on one of the two MC's in terms of sexual content; with some nuggets of story for the other. That would simplify a few things, if necessary the romance between the two MC's could be sacrificed for that, instead they would almost compete.

For a story this ambitious, then, wouldn't that be really good by AVG small-team standards?

Because I swear, it seems like aside from Eva, Philly Games, and Sierra Lee, no one else in this space can ever actually complete a project of half the size they do. I hate the wait as much as anyone, but I can see real forward progress in this story. You have someone like L&P still chipping slowly away at a moderately ambitious story of a horny MILF, meanwhile Eva has one big game under her belt and a good chunk of another, Philly with three jumbo-sized AVGs, and Eva with one jumbo project, multiple smaller games, and a series of actual mainstream fantasy novels.

The work ethic difference is real between actually accomplished creators and people who do this with no seriousness.

I realize this is a few pages back from the main discussion, but I really would love some business-school types to do a study of Patreon supporters vs output vs perceived quality of output, because I do think it's fascinating. Patreon support seems to be really "sticky". Is this a general feature of subscription services? Or is it unique to the AVG space? To a certain extent, your level of support seems non-reliant on your quality or regularity.

I do like Eva's stuff, however, but I think she could be putting out *much* worse material and still maintain support.

I mean, people have different preferences and that's obviously OK, but from a storytelling perspective it offers so many more opportunities when you create him as more of an average guy from the beginning. There's discussions here every now and then, as the comment you responded to exemplifies, about Ian's height and dick size compared to Jeremy and Axel, and why "all these hot instathots [are] losing their panties for him" when he isn't the tallest guy in the game or has the biggest cock. But that's just porn logic: If you're making a porn video and two actors are supposed to start fucking two minutes into the video, you need to make it simple. Man has big cock. Woman loves big cock. It is a very good point that you have just highlighted, indeed, you do not need to have the biggest cock to be able to attract or be the best Chad in the world, Ian is a clear example of this, he can, according to our decisions, have a chance with almost all the women in the novel so far.

But now we must not forget that one of the main reasons why he can have a chance with these women comes largely from the fact that he is the main character, for this reason, he is surrounded or protected in situations by the plot armour ( in this case it would be the different stats or skills), which make the situation quite easy since on several occasions he achieves unlikely things that would be very difficult to happen in real life and less than an ordinary person or with a common life.


For example, if we do a run from the beginning of the novel with Ian choosing options that do not give us stat points or that are related to them, we can see how Ian's life would be very different and he would not achieve even half of the things that has achieved so far, one of them would be not getting to have sex with Alison the first time or not being able to keep her job at the magazine if we upset Minera or better yet being able to convince Cindy to cheat on Wade with him.

To close my already long post I challenge anyone who wants to test my idea and try to see how many things Ian is able to achieve or maintain without stats, in addition to clarifying that this is just my theory and anyone could give me their opinion about it.
