Reached my reaction limit for today, so expect a like from me tomorrow.

I think i get from where you come from (figuratively), if there was such a flashback included in the game it would had definetly a deeper emotional impact, and helping her parents would had become nearly imperative, unless we wanted to play a heartless, 'bad' daughter.
Perhaps it was an accidental slip or Eva thought it may be too intrusive to add such a forceful scene or -as i'd like to believe- it was deliberately left out to enable the player to decide why Lena should help or not and if it is really necessary or not.

Iirc there is a variable which keeps count of the payments, so there may be a repercussion down the line.
As of now i treat it gameplay wise as another money sink, designed to tighten or relax Lenas financial situation.

On that note: has anyone already pushed Lena into debts? If so, has it consequences yet? Like is she forced to accept certain jobs e.g. stalkfap?

As far as I know, it is impossible to get into debt at the moment, that is, the amount of money cannot fall below 0.
I tried to buy the most expensive tattoo in Ep. 9 but it didn't work because I didn't have enough money (I bought all the sex toys before and spent everything I had ). There is no credit system yet.

The issue with Ian when it comes to "rough sex" is his appearance. Even if he can have it with Lena, like the others have mentioned, he lacks the physique for it. I mentioned few months ago that Ian is designed to be "the most average man alive" to encompass the broadest range of the player base.

He is the average height (5' 8), he is white, 20-something, has brown hair, neither skinny nor fat nor muscular; and while you can play the game to make him a "Chad" he still lacks the appearance that people usually associate with Chads. That's why Axel, Mike and Jeremy are more appropriate since they are either muscular or muscular and tall.

It would be nice if Ian could eventually become more muscular if you make him train enough but that would mean every sex scene he is in would need to be drawn twice (one with regular Ian and one with muscular Ian) and I think we all know that means just more work for the Dev.

Then again, GGGB had Ashley change her appearance a lot throughout the game so I wouldn't count this opportunity out. I would definitely like to see it implemented in the game. Would definitely raise my interest in Ian's scenes by a lot.

Axel is definitely made to be pinnacle of men in this game, and yes I agree Ian is a bit average. I think there should be a more visual effect on Ian's appearance throughout the game depending on his choices (eg. at the gym). Say, he can turn muscular/shredded or end up being a couch potato like Wade.

Yeah I agree, Mike is well built while Robert is not. Altough I'm not sure how Robert looks like exactly since the last time I did anything with him was when Chapter 9 came out which was a year ago XD

I still have game on PC and play it periodically to refresh my memory. I want to make another full-fledged branch before the release of Ep.10, I think now there may be 7-8 routes.

EvaKiss wrote early on in development that managing the MC's budget would be important in the game. In your phone there is an budget tab and there it can list your debt. Before the rewrite Ian could go in debt by not paying rent to Perry but that has been removed in the Remaster.
So the whole debt idea might have been dropped. You always pay your rent after getting your wages so you always have the money.
On the other hand now both can be out of jobs so it could be possible.
On the other other hand they should have payed rent in chapter 8 and they didn't so the whole budgeting idea might have gone the way of the dodo

Sure. It's all about preferences, honestly. I think that's part of Eva's success. Though the main characters will always basically look the same, except for some cosmetic changes (or the big tits for Ashley in GGGB), the amount of choices you can make in how you play your character(s) draws in a lot of users, as much as it might not grab as many of the largest demographic of paying porn-game players (which I assume are out-of-shape, late teens/early-20's male shut-ins, at least based on STS success).

I personally relate to Wade more, or a different-universe Wade who appreciates what he has a bit more. IMO, he'd also be a very interesting MC, playing as the character to get him out of his slump. IMO, he's one of the better-written characters in the game, despite all the hate for him.

Cancer is indeed very expensive to treat. I can't imagine how expensive it is if a person does not have health insurance. But I agree that it's bad that they put it on their daughter, who has her own future, dreams and goals. And how persistently they beg for money.

They never really beg for money. Even Lena's mom tells her to look after herself first and foremost, and that she feels guilty for taking the money from her daughter who has it tough making ends meet. Lena herself wants to help her parents, that's why you might think that you're "forced" to help. Lena is used to helping them so keeping the money is something new and uncomfortable to her, despite her somewhat poor relationship with her mother, and while it can be interpreted as selfish, it can also be liberating and help Lena's parents feel less like a burden.

There is a separate debt system, it's not tied to your Money stat (can't own a negative number of something). If you go to the Budget, there is "Owed" count. Currently she doesn't owe anything to anybody, but I imagine if she accepts Seymour's contract and breaks it, she'd owe him 10 Money that he has paid her upfront. Before the Remaster, Ian could owe 1 Money to Perry for not being able to pay rent, but perhaps Eva thought it complicated their relationship prematurely and decided against it for now (might happen in future chapters instead).
