I don't really know, Do I want to? I haven't had many chances to try. For a long time mainstream games also shy away from "difficult" issues but now you have games like (it's just an example, there are many more) Hellblade:Senua's Sacrifice with a gameplay that was all about combat and puzzles, but with a background that was all about insanity, and loss, and grief. And surprinsingly that background permeated the mechanics, and even more surprisingly it (kinda) worked.

The aim of Hellblade isn't to have sex with anyone though. It's one thing for a psychological game like Silent Hill to explore topics of depression and suicide, it's a bit different for a dating sim.

To be clear, I don't care that Wade is unemployed. I think it makes sense that if he stopped trying with Cindy he probably stopped trying in other areas of his life. And it's not impossible to have these heavy subjects in a game where the aim is romance/sex. But I do think genre matters so it's easier for some games to breach these topics in a way that doesn't contrast with gameplay than others.

A depression story doesn't have to be about just destruction though, it can be about recovery. That's what we might see if Lena/Wade were to be a thing or if Ian encourages Wade to fight for Cindy.
It would sort of fit the narrative construction, you know the idea that Ian and Lena's choices influence each other's stories, if Wade getting his shit together was a joint effort of sorts.

The thing that stands out most is how practically all the women are at the front. But this game probably has a larger amount of straight male users, so it's probably just for the sake of selling it.

Hmm, it's a shame if I compare it with the perverted stuff in GGGB. But the whole game is more vanilla as the "prequel".
Pity and weird there is no one brother/sister of the people in ORS, so far.

This game has a better story thus far than most of what Hollywood is producing these days. Seems like faint praise, but I mean it sincerely. I have to stop playing every now and then to 'take a break' from the looming choices and possible branches. Is there anyone out there who can do a spoiler for me on the following (does anything happen in the game thus far):

1. Jeremy and Alison/Emma/Lena/Cindy
2. Axel or Mr Ward (publishing guy?)/Lena/Cindy
3. Perry getting punched in the junk frequently for being such a man-bun douche

Looking forward to see what that extra scene from the final version of ep. 7 is gonna lead up to.

It's not the first time Jeremy sends Ian pictures, but as far as I can remember, it's the first time Ian's initiating it, and it's definitely the first time he's so obviously asking for it for fapping material. And it's happening in the same episode where Jeremy can get a blowjob from Lena even if Ian tells him he's falling for her.

If there's a full sex scene with Jeremy and Lena in the next episode, I'm wondering how the picture sharing is gonna play out. Jeremy seems to document more or less all his sexual encounters. Also, when he later met Ian at Wade's birthday party, Jeremy seemingly wanted to admit what happened.

I'm not particularly into that kind of cucking or NTR kinks myself, but that's also because it's so often presented in such a stereotypical way in porn: it's usually just the same stereotypes with one alpha male, one beta male, and one woman who in some way wishes to be taken by the stronger man. The lack of context and variation means that it's often more or less the same, basic scenario playing out each time.

Here, however, you can shape both Ian and Lena in various ways and still end up on that route. Ian can even ask for pictures from Jeremy one day, and the next day deepthroat Emma while on the phone with Perry, and then fuck Cindy in a back alley on Wade's birthday.

It's definitely not gonna be my main playthrough, but I'm looking forward to see how Eva will let it play out in the coming chapters. While the over-the-top cucking of Eric in GGGB was fun, I think the more complex potential scenario here will be more interesting.

There's probably gonna be a lot of people reluctant to play the Ian part in that scenario, though!

I legit feel this will lead to them overall sharing girls and sending each other pictures. the fact he talked about his progress with emma if you give jeremy the greenlight (keeping the friendship high) or Ian eventually will be cucked. I still think jeremy is gonna ask about cindy since its his MO currently

I don't know if this is realistic, but I'm hoping that Jeremy's proclivity for sharing his conquest's images without their consent comes back to bite him if you encourage it too much.
In my first playthrough I chose for Ian to ask for Louise's images only because I was hoping it might be used to break him and Louise up, in case she wouldn't believe any revelations regarding him.

Yeah, and if I remember correctly, in most of the videos the women point out that they don't want him to film and/or share it with anyone, which I guess is a way to remind us as players how uncool his behaviour really is. I wouldn't be surprised if there's some potential consequences in the future. That might include Ian as well though, even though he's not shared anything himself yet.

In my main playthrough I try to avoid some of those most obviously morally questionable actions, and then I supplement it with a few "fuck it, it's just a game, you can do whatever you want" playthroughs.
