I don't dislike writers. I'm an avid reader (and writer). I just find it a very poor choice for an interactive erotic novel that forces diversion in the story rather than wrapping together. i.e. Lena's job and life matches within the erotic novel, Ian's job is a total diversion from the erotic novel.People with such an attitude towards books and writers, I usually tell them that I don’t like onions in my Big Mac.
EK could have given Ian ANY job. ANY JOB.
Ian could have been the EXACT same Ian everyone on here likes to argue for, just with a job that plays with the game rather than removes from it.
the game is filled with interesting jobs that the player would like to embody. DJ, Photographer, promoter, someone running a modeling agency... and instead we get to play as a sci-fi writer... WTF?
