People with such an attitude towards books and writers, I usually tell them that I don’t like onions in my Big Mac.
I don't dislike writers. I'm an avid reader (and writer). I just find it a very poor choice for an interactive erotic novel that forces diversion in the story rather than wrapping together. i.e. Lena's job and life matches within the erotic novel, Ian's job is a total diversion from the erotic novel.

EK could have given Ian ANY job. ANY JOB.

Ian could have been the EXACT same Ian everyone on here likes to argue for, just with a job that plays with the game rather than removes from it.

the game is filled with interesting jobs that the player would like to embody. DJ, Photographer, promoter, someone running a modeling agency... and instead we get to play as a sci-fi writer... WTF?

Please not again with Ian not being a 6'5'' werewolf billionaire rapist, who is also a part-time literature professor, resident techno DJ and the owner of a brothel.
I'm not going to lie, a 6'5 werewolf billionaire rapist, part-time literature professor, techno Dj, and brothel owner... WOW, can you image what EK could do with that?

You really want some stupid story line with choosing the card with the dragon or yoda? and picking what book should get published...

Actually, it's not a bad idea for those wattpad books/fanfictions. I'm pretty sure there's some with a 6'5'' werewolf billionaire rapist but without the rest.

No offense but now that you've revealed you have sensibilities of a tax attorney, you don't really expect anyone to take your input on what you consider exciting seriously, do you... :sneaky:
Serious question... Do you find Ian's job exciting?

I'm not crazy about Seymour but for what his storyline promises, it's exactly what it delivered. Wealthy older man lusting after a hot young model, and getting her to succumb slowly. Not fantastic but I wouldn't call it disappointing.

What I'm really not a fan of however is more returning characters from GGGB, messing even more with canon. Iris has already been confirmed to be a pornstar and now Arthur is confirmed to be rich. If you're gonna bring back characters from the first game, you should bring the ones that had smaller roles and were not fully developed (Natasha, Danny, Marcel, Rosa). Jess is an exception because not only does she fit well in the story but also has both her versions in the game, depending on the player's choices. Jack can't be accounted for because of how short his cameo is. There are so many new interesting characters in this game with potential to be explored like Eli, Victor, Gillian, Agnes, that I feel like wasting time writing returning characters into the story (who most people didn't ask for, mind you) just feels like going out of your way to make an already convoluted development timeline even more complicated.

Whatever, at least the story progressed in this update. Some of them in the past felt pretty pointless with a couple sex scenes to keep the player's attention and made the story go nowhere.

Short, but nice update! For all the flak we Seymour fans are getting, it seems to be a good day to have reminded the audience that being on Seymour´s side can be great for Lena. And not this s... about Seymour and slavery some posters here were so hung upon!
Besides Ian he is one of the few good choices for Lena when it comes to boy friends in the game.
Looks like we can get some really nice fitting couples (Ian/encouraged Holly/slutty Holly, Ian/Alison, Lena/Seymour) on several paths.
