Yeah that's true but there are a lot of worse Developers though dog. Eva doesn't stick to deadlines but she is definitely better than most devs and doesn't take advantage of the fans of her games as she does produce content alot more frequently than other devs like pink cakes milking ass.
I agree. The only other game I've played here is Something Unlimited and EvaKiss absolutely blows him out of the water in both productivity and quality.

But getting bullshited is still annoying and what's truly irritating is seeing patrons eating it up with a "CaN't RuSh QuALiTy!!!" as they go 3 weeks without a status report only to get squeezed an extra month of money for a two weeks delay that turns into a 3 weeks delay. No matter the game, those fools stay the same.

I could never be a developer. If you consistently release an update every month it's "never enough" or "low quality." If you consistently release an update every three - four months, to focus on quality, it's never enough content. If you put out a product only when it's ready you're just "milking" your patrons. Any delay, regardless of truth, is always considered milking.

I'd just set up a Patreon and then never communicate again and just release my game there knowing full well it would be stolen.

I think it could work if Patreon withheld a percentage of their funds until a milestone was achieved. Of course, that would require a regulator in charge, and patreon has thousands of creators which could potentially make the whole process slower.
Patreon isn't really a thing for just game devs though. In fact, I'd argue that the model doesn't really suit it. Since visual artists, podcasters and even journos are on there too.

I'm curious whether other content creators have the same issues though.

How to get Cindy route?
Ian becomes interested in her, accompanies her to Blazer, encourages her, goes to the gallery and shoot with her, goes to Wades birthday (NOT Hollys book fair), pursues and kisses her, accompanies her to the second shoot, takes the love (mustn't be too interested in Lena or Alison) or lust path. To maintain it, usually pick love options, but in chapter 12 pick the wits option over the love option.

In general, Cindy has a lot of wrong choices and she can easily get turned off, so better save scum. Ian can't be too aggressive, but not too passive, either.

It's idiotic to set expectation based on "there are worse cases" lol. It's a bottomless pit, based on that we should be content with every damn thing a dev says or does? lol Eva knew beforehand she wouldn't fit the schedule and she still ran with it, it's shady regardless of whether there are "worse devs". Yall gotta stop coddling her.

I would like to add that in any case, EK could have simply made a post on patreon or discord about how she is running out of time or something is not working out, so that many people (including me) would not monitor her patreon every evening or more often in the hope that the update promised for release two weeks ago has been released. It would take no more than a minute to write a message for your audience, but apparently even such a trifle is an overwhelming task.

EvaKiss has a generally good reputation. She completed a game, and has mostly released updates within or close to the timeframes she set. I think what you're feeling as people being rude and demanding is actually people joking around and having some fun while waiting for the release. Don't take it too seriously when people crack a joke. Devs that put in the work is respected.

Then you have those who seem to be followed by one tragic event after another(Not aimed at EvaKiss). First the Computer explodes, all files gone. Gona' need a couple of months to fix. Then mom falls out the window, lands on spiked fence. R.I.P Postpone the next update. Then the cat is flattened by a compaction roller. Sorry, thats another break, followed by another fucked up event.

You can't deny that many devs seem to chill once their game(s) get off the ground, With some setting patreon goals such as "I'll quit My job, to pursue developing games full time!!". Once you've promised your patrons lofty goals like that, then they’re pretty much the ones paying your full salary from now on. I feel you should at least put in the minimum 8 hours a day.

Anything digital will be pirated, and many devs came to forums like these when they started promoting their games. If your game is good, people will get behind your project. Places such as f95 are the best places to promote NSFW games, you have to take it with the good and the bad. I'd wager most of the initial patrons came from here.

A bunch of them got into the bullshit pick up artist stuff. Thought they could get women through some bullshit some schlepp sold them.
To be fair, it helped alot of them get laid, as bad as some of those advices where, it actually made some boys get out and talk to women, where they used to act like some alien walked trough the buidling when your averge-girl-nextdoor passed by. Ofcourse PUA tricks was lousy and down right horrible advice for anyone looking for a meaningful relationship.
