I'm still not sure I understood it completely and the fact that TD wrote it in such a way that we never REALLY got to know WHAT Grace and Vicky were ACTUALLY talking about, makes me think there is more to this anyway. Is Edwin Chuck's son? Has Vicky slept with Ian and he told it Chuck? Is Edwin jumping to conclusions because of his meeting with Donovan that has his mind preoccupied and kinda primed to immediately jump to that, when Vicky seems to start talking about something she did?! I probably interpret too much into it...AGAIN, but I also don't trust TD.

im still not at ease with the "humiliation" part but the story is well written, character personnality & development also, its the first time im at the same time enjoying it and also has disconfort at the same time, kind of weird mix up but so far it works for me

As a bit of an aside, I am curious if it makes sense what Grace said. It doesn't seem like Victoria was refusing to help or that Victoria has some special leverage to make Ian comply. It felt like Grace went nuclear for no reason, more to drive drama than anything else. Looking at the scene again, maybe Grace is frustrated with Ian and lashed out when Victoria tried to keep the lie going, like Grace has bigger things on her plate than protecting Victoria's image so she's just going to lash out and call her a whore and demand she help rather than remain civil. So I think I'd like to see more of Grace's total lack of grace in dealing with situations and how that's making her life worse.

Think of it like this:

Grace first mentions Chuck in passing, as if making a point that he's a bad influence on Ian ("you know how he is") after getting impatient and realizing the conversation was not going her way. Maybe she was being tactless and thought that would garner sympathy, maybe she was being cold bitch dumb and thought Victoria's past was a matter-of-fact thing, or maybe she was testing the waters regarding leverage. Either way, she mentions it offhandedly and Victoria is shocked by the insinuation. Sensing the conversation is about to get derailed, Grace tries to get back to what she wants by simply saying "I know", the implication being there's no need to mince words, and demanding they move along. She hasn't overtly threatened anything yet.

Vicky of course gets mad, gets up to leave, and threatens to smack the shit out of her. Then Grace insinuates its in her best interest to help her convince Ian to go to school.

No matter what angle you look at it from, it's a low emotional intelligence move at best and something clinical at worst, but I think it's important to remember the quality of person we're talking about here. Grace was raised by Dr. Chuck and who in turn "raised" Ian. From those two data points alone, you can probably make some assumptions about the fiber of her character. You kinda nail it when you say "Grace has bigger things her plate." It's almost like she doesn't consider Victoria at all and she's shopping for a solution to her Ian problem.

I want to give kudos to authors Mutt and Jeff (TD1900) for this work in general, but especially for this latest update.

I've never felt, while watching a work with porn in it, that I wanted to watch something that is clearly wrong to the point that it turns my stomach.

Even at the beginning of the episode, I didn't know if watching Edwin's mother at work was right, since I saw her as the “mom,” but then I didn't pay much attention to it.

As the episode went on, however, and especially with the final choice, when I chose to watch the video again, my stomach turned, I felt what Edwin probably feels when he sees those scenes.

I had already realized that this story is not just porn, but a journey that leads you to reflect on your own perversions and the sexual relationships you have with others, among other things, and this update confirmed that for me even more.

Now I am waiting for the next update and the next 12.00€ donation to see the third round of Carnations, and I think it will be the most difficult round for all three.

Felicia with her husband present, Rosalind will probably be exposed for the scams committed and Veronica ... well, Kat will come up with something.

Congratulations!

Perfect time to replay the whole game. I wish I could remember every single thing so I wouldn't "cheat" on my first canon run and have the exact same outcome to start into the new update. Renpy needs an option to print out a "choices" sheet or the option to create a personal walkthrough mod. Loading savegames and checking individual variables is a bit too tedious :alien:

TBH I'd be a little bit disappointed if there is nothing more to the Grace/Victoria scene. Blackmailing Victoria just for a chance to convince Ian to go to college? It's not like he'd listen to her every word either, or would he also jump from a bridge if Victoria told him so? But that's probably just wishful thinking

Well, from Grace's PoV it's a choice between sitting on a bit of info which is completely worthless to Grace otherwise and having Victoria do nothing about Ian's problem, or forcing Victoria to make an attempt whether it works or not. Which is better odds than no attempt at all. It seems pretty easy to me, especially in context that Grace doesn't give any real shit about Victoria otherwise.

The Universal Renpy Mod does a lot of lifting for you around choices and when a specific variable is in use

how do you unlock the choice "she can stay as long as she wants" for rosalind in the new update? it says it's based on "openness" but i cant tell where that openness stat is coming from
The openness comes from successfully concluding the dinner date, that's with Rose getting comfortable enough with Edwin to spill some beans about her past and other things.

There's a post from TD1900 some pages back, describing one set of options you can pick that will get you there. But it's generally pretty simple anyway, got the stuff right first try on a blind play through without reading anything.

Hi! Wah, there is so much stuff to discuss, but as I mentioned, work hits hard currently, so just a bit of what I wanted to talk about. More during the coming weeks.
Andrea being 'loaned' to the Club in particular is a notable discovery. It's always interesting to see the mechanics of the Club in action, and now I'm wondering if some of her comparatively upbeat attitude is a result of this arrangement. Are patrons more constrained in what they can do with a girl who's only on loan, sort of the opposite to Nicolette's 'special interest?' It's good food for thought.
I am absolutely sure it makes a difference. We saw Nicolette´s arrival and it clearly implied "special interest" to the club is meant as punishment and reminder. Andrea on the other hand is more dabbling in prostitution, more a hobby prostitute going by how she describes some things, her main work is elsewhere.
And she clearly is shielded to a certain point by her being just "on loan". For instance, Andrea is certainly off-limits to Warren, since her being unable to work after being roughed up during sex is a no go complication.

Maybe I'd feel differently if I liked Andrea more (she's nice, but a little too airheaded for my taste),
I like Andrea, our sexy ray of sunshine, but I agree with you that she comes across as too airheaded. I sincerely hope it turns out that it is a) at least partly an act to appear more harmless or b) just the lack of a proper education (which can be rectified) than lacking smarts. Why? Because in my opinion Andrea is a chance to again show how the Club can corrupt (at least in part) anyone it touches!
Just a mind image: In the epilog (playing quite a time after the events of PC) our MC is on a party and he sees Mina and Andrea standing together and talk. and it hits him as much as us, the contrast. On one side we have Mina, the (at least) TV star, part time model, bubbly person, on the drive by lane of life.
And on the other side we have Andrea, the porn star (with maybe some mainstream work as well), nude model and hobby hooker. Also a bubbly personality and on the drive by lane of life, but by "seedier" means. With the divide being Andrea was in part shaped by the Club, whereas Mina wasn´t.
Who´s to say that Andrea might not be a very capable mainstream actress if she gets a chance? It happens, e.g. former pornstar Gina Wild is a rather recognised theater actress today. Andrea´s path was changed by working with the Club, Donovan and Co. Such a scene could be a reminder what the Club does to people and why it has to change it´s stance if the club stays open.

Seems strange to argue with the author himself, but...

That's because Veronica is imposing and so far the only intimate relations she's had with Mina was when she was touching her professionally during their exercises. We have no reason to believe that Veronica herself has taken the initiative and shown interest in Mina and if not for Edwin she wouldn't even know that Veronica might want to "play for the other team" (same goes for Veronica).

We also have this bit:
"Despite her egregious flirting at the gym, she likely wrote Mina off as an improbability. This was my chance to give the gals a little push."
Before that push Mina didn't read Veronica's touching as flirting since Veronica herself was very subtle about it and didn't even think there was a chance she could get further with her.
Hold on, time out...

I wrote my thoughts through that entire process and Veronica was putting up a LOT of perviness on the scene. I know Mina didn't read into this more than anything, but Mina also picks up on queues after the fact.

Also, it's not about Veronica thinking there wasn't a chance. If anything, she is more aggressive when she sees an opening. But she knows when to calm it down. Compare the gym time to when you're her wingman with the other meek girl and she's cuddling that one after showing she's the larger predator with hawk eyes.

At the gym, she's got a job to do and Mina ASSistance is a perk. But if the right signals are given, she is bound to take Mina to slam town.
