I'm not the author, but I'll take a stab at it.BIG QUESTIONS for the Authors:
1. does a chapter cover a whole week? i.e.: will chapter 4 include the whole 3rd week with the 3rd exhibition?
2. if yes, how many parts till the end of week 3? is chapter 4, part 4 going to cover the weekend exhibition?
3. have you already decided how the story ends?
Ch1 - 2020/04/16How often does an update come out?
5 chapters, it is, then. Chapter 1 is the prologue, chapter 5 will be the 4th week. I hope we'll have proper aftermath stories for each main girl (Mina, Hana and the Carnations).I'm not the author, but I'll take a stab at it.
- Yes, the Chapters correspond to the weeks of the Exhibition. Chapter
45 will be the final week of the competition and also the end of the game (plus the prologue and potentially some epilogues). TD has explained this in the past, and AFAIK it's still the plan.
Early releases had not animations - they started to add them later. This is why early releases were faster, I guess. Just my hunch.Ch1 - 2020/04/16
Ch2.1 - 2020/08/02 (109 days)
Ch2.2 - 2020/11/23 (114 days)
Ch3.1 - 2021/03/15 (113 days)
Ch3.2 - 2021/08/18 (157 days)
Ch3.3 - 2021/12/31 (136 days)
Ch3.4 - 2022/06/18 (170 days)
Ch4.1 - 2022/10/31 (136 days)
Ch4.2 - 2023/04/15 (167 days)
Ch4.3 - 2023/09/01 (140 days)
The simple average is 138 days, but the first three updates were quicker. I suspect that TD and GIL were ablaze with youthful vigor in that halcyon year of 2020. Or maybe it was due to lockdown; there's no way to know. But looking at just the last six updates, the average is 151 days. More interestingly, recent updates seem to alternate between ≈138 day intervals and ≈165 day intervals. Following that pattern, we could expect approximately 165 days from Sep 1st.
Based on current MC placement in the Club, I don't think we really have much to fear, as MC is given an incredible amount of autonomy and influence, even more than Ian has. Clearly, TD is telling us that there is a danger, but I feel that this won't manifest until an endgame decision (a la "join the Dark Side or fight and probably die by the Sith"), which will likely involve betraying or fully embracing the Club. Learning what happened to the predecessor will properly demonstrate the cruel fate the Club enacts on traitors, thus making the choice a difficult one (risk death doing what's right, or become part of the evil that will kill someone) thereby building up the tension. ... Which is really good writing.Did anyone else notice this?

If I were MC, I'd mind my own business and keep my head down (the less you know...)![]()
Naaa! My Edwin (thinks he) is too smart to don't be able to handle this situation. Well he be able to b successful, or will he face an horrible failure? I don't know and I don't care to know until the end, but I'm enjoying the journey.Did anyone else notice this?

The girl looks more like Nicolette to me. Still an interesting find.Did anyone else notice this?

The scene where August tells MC that Nicolette is "a special interest" gave me the creeps: I have the feeling that they're talking about her in the second preview scene (a couple of posts above). The girl looks more like Nicolette to me. Still an interesting find.
As for the MC, if he wanted to keep his head safely down he should never have joined the Club. Now that he's in, ignorance is at best a two-edged sword. He definitely shouldn't make a show of sticking his nose in everywhere, but her needs to investigate enough to guess where cover will be if things actually start to explode. The unwary can get caught up in the crossfire even faster than the busybodies.
They probably received a letter/email "from him" saying that he "moved to Florida" thus abating their concerns for a while. The scene where August tells MC that Nicolette is "a special interest" gave me the creeps: I have the feeling that they're talking about her in the second preview scene (a couple of posts above).
I bet a tenner that Ian is going to tell MC that his former co-worker's parents haven't heard from him since he quit the job.
The birthday party pretty much sealed the deal on that happening and it seems the next update might take the next step toward it: https://f95zone.to/threads/pale-carnations-ch-4-update-3-mutt-jeff.50281/post-11771707I wonder Hana, Mina and MC have the chances to be "menage à trois" as Mina said. I feel bad about cheat on Hana with Mina. If Hana, Mina and MC get a threesome it will be great.
