They started playing TF2 around that time.

I was thinking maybe the girls are cold since they're naked at the time of saying 'hat' over and over. They just want a hat to wear and MC is being mighty selfish or perhaps bad at picking up on their not so subtle hints since he's never provided one for the obviously freezing poor girls.

For shame sir! Foor shaame!

You mean the guy who was absent all her life, the one who showed her mom the middle finger when she got pregnant with her, and who is now dressing her own daughter in sexy lingerie to work in a club where women are being taken advantage off? For someone who's trying to set up a new legacy they're surprisingly unfazed by how she's seen by the other patrons. Maybe it's an unwritten rule to not touch the boss' daughter, maybe he doesn't give a fuck how she handles the situation as long as she's in control. Kathleen can dish out as much she can take as well and no one seems to question her authority.

I think he would be more impressed by her if she took advantage of the situation and not be as passive. He knows she's in the game because of her mother's bills, not because she wants to connect with her criminal dad. She could already have patrons left and right paying extra for her silence or a stake in the club's future if she played her cards right and she wouldn't even have to get naked for it. Or she could engage with the patrons just to fuck with his business if he really was that protective all of the sudden. Then again who's to say what happens if she actually slept with half of the club? Would he slash the clubs income in half to make a statement? I don't think so. There are hundred ways where she could have her cake and eat it too.
Well, when you put it like that...
I was just going off the other comment, who seemed to imply that if anyone tried to get Hana to do exhibition stuff would have to deal with her father and the consequences of it.
But I always assumed her father wanted her to be a part of the club from the business side, not the sex side.

That's implied. At least Kathleen and Warren have a very brief discussion about it:

"Well, we could always give her (Hana) a spanking or put her in the corner for a time out."
"Wouldn't mind going that route."
"I know you wouldn't but alas..."
"Our hands are tied?"
"No. There's always a path."
Then again there many different moving parts and we don't know what August's real motivations are/were.

But I always assumed her father wanted her to be a part of the club from the business side, not the sex side.
It's possible his initial plan didn't go beyond dangling Hana in front of all the other members, trying to bait those stupid enough to openly lay fingers on her. Even then, as we've already seen, there are still those who will test the waters and see how far they can go. Besides, I don't think August would respect someone who isn't capable of standing up for themself. Not if you want to survive against all the other sharks in this business as long as he has.

Edit: Let's not forget he's got no problem with Edwin hitting it off with his daughter after such a short time. They literally just met. The dude who was hired as a walking meat pole and who's got nothing to show for except a student card.

To put it bluntly, you simply are imagining things.

Your interpretation of the dialogue between Kathleen and Warren is one of the weirdest misconceptions I've ever read on this thread.

Your interpretation of August's motives is... well, crazy: why can't you simply realise that the words people like Auggie say simply mean what they literally mean by saying the words they say?

So we don´t really know how he will react, there´s just some people who are willing to keep pushing to see what they can get away with.

That still brings us to the business side of things, in my opinion. August may want Hana to put her foot down, take care of the club and not be pushed around by anyone and not get on her knees and please the crowds so they can leave her alone.

As for her thing with the MC, I can see how it would appear different for him.

We can't be certain, only make an educated guess. Why people here believe the club members are not allowed to make mistakes which they could pay with their lives is beyond me. No one saw the red wedding coming.

Sure, that's plausible. No one should make the mistake of romanticizing the situation though. August isn't the godfather - except for all the stealing, extortion, and taking advantage of people around them. Nor is a he a samaritan for inviting our sadistic MC to his playground.

Agreed, the samaritan inviting our sadistic MC to his playground is Chuck.

And that´s why Hana is still to hot to touch for the club members. Just like us players, the characters in the game aren´t really sure what her father might do. I have no doubts that they would like to use her for something, but no one has been brave enough to try...yet.

I bet August sees the MC as someone who might help Hana get interested in participating more actively in the club. Since they are dating and she knows what he has to do in there, that could ease her way into the club´s web.

Yeah, August is the cold-blooded murderer of the trio of owners. Chuck is the master perv, but would probably get August to do any killing that he needed. Kat would twist some into killing themselves (suicide) if she had to.

Yeah. Augie is the most directly dangerous. He does seem to now care about his daughter, and is using MC to help get her in line. Not sure how he's gonna react to them mating for life, though.

August & Edwin

You and my daughter seem to be close.
...is that why you wanted to speak?
Relax, it's not a problem. Just an observation.
I haven't earned the right to have a say in my daughter's life.

Yet she's working here with some pretty big strings attached, isn't she?

I'm just glad she seems to be coming around. I was shocked when she accepted
her share of the business out of the blue, but now I understand I have Kathy to
thank for appealing to her pragmatic side
.

[...] I wanted to speak with you honestly today and get a better sense of who you are.

Why?

It's more like--

At least he doesn't list any demands when it comes to his daughter's involvement. Keep an eye on her - make sure she's safe - I want her to be happy - he asks none of those things. He's glad she joined the business, that's it. Maybe it's his way of giving Edwin credit for Hana's 180 when he pours him "the finest single malt you'll ever taste", maybe not.
I, for one, don't think August necessarily wants/needs her to participate in all the extracurricular activities to learn the ropes but I am not certain he would flip out as much as others do in this thread if she did.

He's a mob boss. He is never going to speak directly or say what he means. Ever watch the Sopranos? That show was so realistic that mob bosses were wondering who was leaking to David Chase. Goodfellas is based on a true story (with a lot of embellishments by Henry Hill, who was never an honest fellow). When you get it, it generally comes from behind, by surprise.

This game has a lot of that vibe right for August.

This why August´s words should be taken with lots of grains of salt. His sudden interest in his daughter is only business related. He gave her the bartender job because it was a way to have her be there at the club and try to get her interested in the business; he is now using the MC as a tool to get her to take charge and be a boss in the club. By hanging out with him, he hopes Hana becomes interested in having her stake at the club. I don´t think he even cares about the reasons that might flip her mind, as long as she ends up doing what suits him.

In the way Edwin is devoted to the club and especially Kath, I would like Hana to follow him and let herself go completely, I don't think August would be a problem.
My personal wish would be to see her corrupted as much as possible, expose herself in front of everyone during the shows,
embrace lust for love of Edwin, maybe even make her a future carnation.

Edwin being devoted to the club and Kath? Didn't see that in my game.

I personally doubt Hana will be "corrupted" and paraded around the club while August is still alive. Even if he suddenly dies, there's only one week left, so no time for that to happen, maybe in the bad ending epilogue if you side with Kath.

I'd prefer a more subtle approach. For example: if she's got enough love points for Edwin, and he pays her back by being dishonest, she has her gigs on the side as well. At first she does it to subdue her jealousy/disappointment, then she learns to enjoy it. This would also go well with Edwin's voyeuristic trait and the drugs could play a vital role in enhancing more perverse encounters: Imagine being high on the libido serum while getting peed on and the stream hits the tip/clit and waves of orgasms turning you into a buttery mess.

This game could have an ending like Perfume: The Story of a Murderer
