I don't see August in that scene as guarded, I see him as hands-off; as he says, this is technically Kathleen's responsibility and he normally leaves that up to her. He will intervene if he likes the MC, which is exactly the same outcome you get from asking Kat (though admittedly there are more ways to earn her approval).
And for what it's worth, Chuck won't intervene no matter what, even though canonically he does trust the MC.

But it's not like giving her a small advance would remove Rosalind's overall incentive, plus it has to be weighed against the risk that Oliver would do something drastic that does actually hurt Rosalind's performance. And based on the eventual outcome, a stupid response from Oliver certainly seems like something Kat should have worried about.

I am aware that there's a chance Kathleen would continue the Exhibition even with a Rose bruised from head to toe - but then again there's also a non zero chance she would retaliate. Maybe not out of the goodness of her heart but because the situation is starting to annoy her. I have it on good authority that winning the trust of August is a special case. There are events where you can gain specific trust points. After several of them, he will trust you. But I am not certain that at the current point in the story you gain enough of them. It will be possible though.Surely one day my 7 Warren points will come in handy!

Pretty sure thats the highest you can have right now? Not like it matters too much as you can get his points and still have all the girls stats maxed/near max.....maybe Warren friendship will be the key to finally see "firestarter" getting some use

Just had something weird happen in this game. Played all the way to the cattle prod scene, when the game suddenly crashed. No problem, loaded back up and continued. The problem though is now every scene in the replay menu prior to cattle prod is fucking locked as if I've never seen them. Anyone had this issue?
