The visuals started being great around the time Chapter 4's first update was released, I believe. You can tell the clear difference especially during the flashback scenes of the previous update. It's night and day compared to Chapter 1glad we can finally fuck Lucy, waited for this for so long
And I need to mention how insane visuals are,it's really hard to believe they made it with hs1
What makes you so sure he managed to get away with it?Edwin's predecessor by all accounts was far worse, and he managed to get away with it.
There must be something with your setup and/or software creating this hiccup. I have an i7 8700, Win10 and run this gem of a game with internal graphics without the slightest problem. Not a good start. Immediate error screen on main menu. Redownloaded the game and the issue remained.
"Exception: Expected an image, but got a general displayable."
Had to delete this line to make it to a working main menu.
if renpy.has_label("splashscreen") and (not _restart) and (not renpy.os.environ.get("RENPY_SKIP_SPLASHSCREEN", None)):
call _splashscreen from _call_splashscreen_1
From 00start.rpy
In the previous patch the game was a mess too, with constant out of memory problems, despite having 64 GB of RAM and 16 GB of VRAM. Had to edit out problematic lines from the scripts as I played. The camera graphic was the main culprit.
AMD GPU, Windows 11, 4k resolution, there is something about my setup this game, and only this game, really doesn't like. Anyone have similar issues?
Have you tried with a different renderer? Hold shift while starting the game and it should show you the Graphics Acceleration menu, pick another renderer and see if it works better. Not a good start. Immediate error screen on main menu. Redownloaded the game and the issue remained.

It does, it is built the same way every developer builds their Mac version and that is with the SDK. Funny, all my Mac versions work for everyone else....Mac version plz, compressed version didn't work
Once i saw a frustrated user protesting about requests like this asking how is it possible to lose game saves... well, it's very possibleany save files?
I had exactly the same errors from the very beginning of the game, and changing the renderer actually solved the problem. For some reason, the game decided to force the GL renderer this time, probably because Ren'Py had been updated.Have you tried with a different renderer? Hold shift while starting the game and it should show you the Graphics Acceleration menu, pick another renderer and see if it works better.
Thanks, I forgot to try this, and it did help. It had been forcing the GL renderer for some reason.Have you tried with a different renderer? Hold shift while starting the game and it should show you the Graphics Acceleration menu, pick another renderer and see if it works better.
