Personally, I tend to like DAZ visuals better than HS ones, but you'll never hear me say that HS games are too samey or that they can't look good. They absolutely can. Agree, specially your second paragraph, and it's also true for animations, dunno if HS has a decent built-in animation engine, but there's lots of decent looking DAZ games with mediocre animations, but HS games tend to have better baseline animations, at least for the games I tried/played.

Quite on the spot! I played around in both DAZ and HS, not to a great extend, but tried them out a bit. DAZ is very much made for stills, animation without enhancement with special add-ons or KI is a chore and completely underwhelming. Even the figures we painted on blocks of paper to animate them with the thumb when we were kids can compete.

In HS, even the core basic animations are way ahead of anything DAZ has. In the DAZ games I play I always hope they keep to stills, I do not want to see "animations" in DAZ games.
