Well, you never developed a rapport with her, that starts to change quite a bit of what is happening now. Sophia is the most important non-Main LI character going forward. By the way, our lovely bundle of contradictions is NOT insane. Part is her eccentrism, which I expected to show, hats up for TD1900 who wrote it nicely, if fitting it to the storyline with a dark bend by personality imprints and special training from the secret service sphere andI the mentioned imprints/training done so Sophia can function to full extend in Kath and Chucks diabolical den.
Personally I know a couple eccentrics, so some behaviour of Sophia is no biggie for me and we can see in game that Sophia is a cute, nice woman in an extremly problematic position, who should still not be underestimated. I theorise both Abel and Sophia have imprints done to stave off the influence of Kath, Chuck and the others. I think TD has some surprises more for us in his bag. I estimate Abel and Sophia underestimated what these imprints and training would do to them longterm. They might win this war with Chuck, Kath and the Club, but at what personal cost?More tomorrow, because it is really late where I live.

Sorry, Turret, but I gotta go with Occam's Razor here: the simplest answer that covers the facts is usually the best. I don't know exactly what is going on with Sophia, but she is not right in the head.

A quick answer before bed: Yes, in a roundabout way. Sophia answers our hero on the question where her "seducer side" went and she answers she only comes out when she is needed, also she talked about special training before. That are very strong hints towards mental imprints and other work done. That is Secret Service/black ops stuff. Since we also learn that Chuck and Abel really fight a shadow war, it is obviously all in.

An MC who decides to fuck Allison at the orgy will emphatically note that he *loves* the Carnation Club, but there is no inverse declaration: no combination of choices that I can find will make the MC ponder whether he *dislikes* the Club.

Well, if Edwin would decide to fuck Allison at the orgy it shouldn't come to a surprise that he would say that.

As for other scenarios where he could admit he dislikes the club I think for this to happen we would need different choices from the very start. At various stages of his employment he enjoyed his job more than he should have (judging by his initial reaction when he learned the truth he would be learning in a brothel). IMO if Edwin was a person who could dislike the club he wouldn't have accepted the job in the first place but then there would be a pre-mature game over screen.

I could see TD writing it in a plausible way though but that would require even more paths and even more time spent on a path that only a handful of gamers would appreciate (although I guess some of your suggestions could be implemented at a relatively fast rate, who knows). Sadly most of us here are total perverts (including me) so TD and GIL have to be selective on what to show.

As for Edwin not pondering about Lucy, it also doesn't surprise me. She's become a whore just for a chance for her son to be admitted to a prestigious school even though she knew that he's not even interested in it. I think it's been revealed here that she was looking for an excuse to let loose and lead a promiscuous life and there wouldn't be much to do for Edwin to change that. And any comment he could think of would feel hypocritical considering what he's doing here.

Are you sure it's the case? I'm pretty sure that Edwin had Felicia x Mina threesome but also had a hand-holding intimate moment with her where he told her to prepare herself.

I have encountered similar error with urm. I my case it was corrected by adding an underscore before the sys._getframe changing it to _sys._getframe in the 00action_data.rpy file. So the error is caused by the bundled renpy version.

Yes, it did, but discarded due to the way TD started to make the storyline darker all across.

I disagree, though perhaps I'm not explaining myself well. The game starts with the MC repeatedly pondering the question of whether he was a 'good' person rather than someone who had never been given the chance to be 'bad.' The game then proceeds to give our MC a litany of opportunities to be bad, some of which he automatically accepts but some of which are notably left to our discretion.

To me, it seemed clear that the Club was going to serve as a crucible for the MC, forcing him to choose whether or not to be good. In that light, it felt inevitable that the MC's decision to join the Club would be in for a review at a later date: an MC who chose good would either leave the Club behind or change the Club to something that didn't give endless opportunities to do bad.

By that framework, I feel it is getting rather late in the game for the review. Obviously if you assume the review will never come and the MC's initial judgement will be immutable then there's no issue. But if that's the framework we should be using, I don't think the start of the game did a good job laying it out.

I'm reasonably certain. I did not get the opportunity on my Mina-focused route, and the variables the opportunity looks for ("w3FeliciaRomanceFocus" or "w3FeliciaLoseControl") are set during this choice in the solo-Felicia portion of her date. But I can only poke around with a semi-functional URM, I'm not looking at the code directly so it's possible I missed something.

Does someone know the requirements for the last 2 "Memories" scenes for Kathleen? One says that it will happen through normal advancement of the story but it never happened for me and the last one says to do something stupid.

You need to seek advice from Kathleen after the second exhibition, and then later on, the "Progress through the story" scene comes up (as long as you choose to give it your all). For the second scene, at the end of the free roam at the end of the new update, you'll see Kathleen in the lobby with the police commissioner. Choose to catch the tiger by the tail. Just keep in mind that you cannot get the scenes with Hana/Lucy/Felicia during the free roam, as they, along with the scene with Kathleen, are exclusive and will end the free roam. Important to note that you need to have the first scene to unlock the second.

BTW, since we're nearing exhibition 3 what do you guys think about this problem I've mentioned over 3 years ago:

Not sure if you can answer that at this point but I do wonder how you intend to deal with a possible problem that will arise after 3rd exhibition night, i.e. at this point one of the candidates/carnations might win the whole thing and 4th game won't be needed. From PC owners' POV that would be something undesirable and I would think they would try and rig the game so that they would continue for the 4th game (which means more bets and more money for the club). After all it was Kat (or rather the character you've written) who said:

Kathleen: Your primary role is to make sure the women don't leave the event prematurely. I'm not saying you have to be a friend or an advocate to do this, but you've got to keep them chasing after the carrot.

So I guess one of the endings could be premature (although I doubt it since it would end things too fast and possibly spoil the story and consequences) or the "losers" could fight for a 2nd place and a 2nd prize (assuming one would be provided) or as I've said Kat could fix the 3rd game in favour of a woman who wouldn't be in the lead.

Now that we know from Sophia that Allison might have won not only because she was the best but also (or mainly) because of her future use for the club it sheds new light on this issue.
