I getcha on the roommate thing, but "I wanted to create that same fun dynamic in my own way" doesn't mean it has to be incest. There will be a place for said content eventually, but not between MC and Jade. They are intentionally actually not blood-related. Give it time. Trust me.
As for SubStar, I mostly agree. I'm already setting one up as of yesterday, I just gotta finish finalizing the details and wait for SubStar staff to do their thing. The only reason why I'll say Patreon is still technically "better", is userbase size. Patreon has been around a lot longer, people "trust" it more, and are more likely to subscribe through it than other sub-sites.
Thankfully, that last bit is changing more and more every day! But yeah, I'm setting up both :3 so people will have options.

Im also tired of hearing those types claim the girls are only exclusive for the MC, and they can only sit in the corner and wait for their name to be called, To simply lack any initiative of their own. . Ive said it before recently myself, but harem is a loose term, that defines multiple girls having interest and relations with the MC or/and he with them. Its promising to see the dev on the same page.

I'd really want to see him grow more catlike features, like a tail for starters.... as long as he doesnt become furry. Kemonomimi is my creed.
I also like the idea we going to get expansion/reduction options too.. I like liked that about My neighbor next door. Im a little interest how we do it. hoping some related power from the MC?
Little sad the content felt small, but the game looks like it could be fun. Not a big fan of the MCs personality, feel he talks and laughs too much. Feel like I want to play him as a bit more passive/meek catboy with having room to grow/develop. But I guess thats more my preference or view on it. Hes Tolerable so far.
Oh, and I love how the eyes stand out in the dark. Gives them the beast like feeling. I\d actually love it more if they continue to show more catlike traits/quirks (that make them unique being catboy/girls who are considered half beast.). But its a little early for me to judge how that is yet

I did get pissed im stuck 14/15s one of the catgirls and cant advance, because I choose the option ".........." (man of few words, I choose these alot, its a nuetral reaction really of thinking or being silent) over line saying I love you on your first fuck. Thats what I was told. and its stupid. Kinda going to hope no content like this blocks relationships in the game (why I generally hate point systems). I put th game on hold, until I try a way to alter points

Yeah well, writing that comment took me 20minutes. The current build of the game took me a year and a half xD.
Books are their own thing, this is a visual novel. It takes a lot more effort and time.

You have been great with your release schedule since your initial release, very punctual. Every two months we get an update. I know a handful of other games with the same quality of art, and a similar release schedule, that manage to pack a lot more story in the update alone. A lot of them have been at it as long as you have, but I don't know where they started from in total experience in comparison to you. They could have backgrounds in coding that helped them, where you may have started completely raw.
Story wise, I just don't feel invested, and that is just because there is not enough story there. Not enough progress. That's what's holding me back from really enjoying this. There is not enough there to make me want to care. It takes longer to download a new release than it does to play the update. You spend as much time on your behinds the scenes after the story as you do the story. That makes me wonder how much more story you could have done if you had left the behind the scenes out.
Also, I wouldn't compare what you are doing to writing a book. More like a TV show, that's the original visual novel. But you do have to ask yourself, would you watch a TV show that only released a five minute episode every two months? You wouldn't be into it for the same reasons I mentioned above.

Overall though, I'm sorry I can't put out the story fast enough. It's not for lack of trying. It may be better for you to just bookmark/watch the thread and forget about the game for a bit and come back later when I'm more experienced and able to put out content quicker.
If it were easy, everyone would be doing it. Yes there's a lot doing it alright, but the Consumer:dev ratios are what?

Rendering should probably be considered more like stop motion animation. Which is also super time intensive on the modeling and posing dude of things

There's a whole ass discussion about it like 10 posts before yours, maybe read the thread lol. Orrrrrrrrrrrrr realize that rendering is a pain in the ass so MC probably looks the way the dev wanted him to, because it'd be real dumb to render a bunch of scenes write all the code to get those scenes playable and then release the AVN for people to read if you'd fucked up on the height of your main character.

Don't read to much into what people say and you'll have nothing to argue with people about, Usually works for me, if people you percieve have an opinion let them have an opinion, you've got yours and they've got theirs, respect for an opinion is what stops most arguments from happening in the first place.
You also gotta ask questions in game threads sometimes in order to figure what kind of game your getting into? So you don't regret it later.
It depends on what you consider a "fully grown man" MC is 22 years old. They are an adult, but very much so still just a young-adult. Every one matures at different rates.
As stated in previous comments though, MC is a Neko. Nekos are canonically shorter in stature than humans. Their appearance is an intended one. I wanted them to be more lithe and androgynous as Nekos usually are.

Seeing as my best friend in the entire world, brother from another mother type guy, is a whopping 5'6" and about 36 years old it's kind of a silly question to ask. Especially given the work that goes into rendering out avn scenes. There's almost no AVNs that actually make the mc taller than 6' but I don't wander into every thread asking if they mistakenly made their MC a short king, like almost all of the world is to me irl, it's just rude. And if there's one thing that gets my goat on this site it's being rude to the devs.
Less rude option "The MC is shorter than the average male, what was your reasoning on that dev? Is it relevant to the story of just how you felt aesthetically?"
That dude picked: "hah you fucked up at your job and MC is short, lol"
