FYI, some "videos" play. I'm not sure they are videos because they are choppy and there's no audio/sound, so they could be gifs...

Are we supposed to get ANY blank, black screens during play?

Sorry, I missed the full part. You could try with the regular version of v13 from the link in the help (not 13.0.2) which is what the game uses. Other than that I don't know how I can help. I have no way to test these things myself since I don't have a mac.

That screenshot you posted should play a mp4-clip. There are some small gifs, like "ejaculation in bathroom" which appear at the bottom of the image panel. Maybe you've seen them. If you've seen full size clips being choppy though, then I don't know what's wrong. Then the problem isn't with missing javafx.
Shouldn't be any black screens I think. One or two maybe.

I've seen clips of Avery (sitting and laughing on the couch), therapist (talking to me), Jane (looking over some papers, wearing white blouse, glasses). Are those mp4s? If so, then yeah, something else must be happening... Could it be that the game can't find the files on the OSX filesystem (like the fact that Windows and Unix-based systems use different slashes between directories)?

Yes, those are mp4 files played by the game.
Java should handle the file paths correctly. If you have "errorlog.txt" in your game folder you could send it to me in a PM.

Was there any progress with this? I believe I have a very similar error on my Mac as well.

Some of the videos played for him, some didn't. No errors thrown from the game. I told him it seemed to be something with his system since I haven't heard of any other mac users with the same problem. But I could be wrong. I only know what people tell me and I don't know if there are many mac users that play the game to begin with.

Ahh right, fair enough. Could I PM you my errorlog.txt then to see if you can spot anything? None of the video appear to work for me, either from starting a new game or loading a previous save.

Seems to throw a java.lang.NoClassDefFoundError and a java.lang.NullPointerException when trying to load null.png, which I assume means that the proper filename isn't being passed correctly somewhere.

People should always PM me the errorlog as the first step, if they can. :)

If you browse earlier in the thread you'll notice you're not the only one having the game get stuck on you.

As I understand it the dev is intent on fixing the problems even though finding all glitches is potentially impossible, and even though he's gotten several suggestions on how to make the game better at helping you get yourself unstuck.

Who do you like the winner to be ? And how would you add more girls, more locations or more tenants ?

Don't know if I have a preference. I try not to think about it, because the winner is who I will have to work with, regardless.
How I would add the winner all depends on what I come up with then, when I know who it is. Your guess is as good as mine :)
