I Cannot wait to play this again. to give it another try.
This May Only be My opinion/feeling, but I feel that the DEV needs to work on the Money system.
I am uncomfortable with how it works.
At the start of the game, the MC has $20; which He may or may not use to pay Taxi driver for his 'friend'. (-$20)
then, after talking with a female acquaintance, he gains $60 to buy some drugs (weed) (+$60)
- which I feel Is Not his to spend.
- a little later, MC comes across a street with business (Magic Shop, Massage parlor, Tarot Reader...and the Mall)
(I know that the MC will or should be purchasing the bottle(s) of Mana)
My question, does buying the book in the 'magic shop' have any significance to story, or is it just fodder?
-we know that the Dragons blood may come in handy later (??) - use in 'Spirit' transfer spell.
Now the MC, I feel, needs a way to have His own cash without needing to spend the $60, unless he is able to replace it.
- at least, until visiting 'friend' Is implemented, to purchase 'weed' for friend.
(Now, other players may feel that it is Okay to spend the money ($60) The money is now MC's.)
Now, since the father IS a tight-ass Douche bag who apparently 'runs away' (leaves) after Grandfather's death;
- does not see fit to give son a weekly allowance, MC should be able to have, or get a job.
(Yes, I know. Right now, the story Is focused on the MC going to College, and him learning How to Read & use the Book)
* Maybe, have a bit of cash gift (+$500 - $1000) added to Safe deposit box, along with the Book.
at least until Inheritance is received(?). *(I feel that THIS would be the Best resolution to $$ issue for now)
-Or maybe there Is/will be an Easy to translate spell in the Book for money.
