Patreon Account Selling Pirated Games - Developers Beware

The most annoying part is the bragging like what is this "I request you all to pledge us with more amount of money" really ?
The legend 100$ tier have to be a joke also "You will be our official member ", so you will be legend among idiot legends to realize you could get the game for free somewhere else. For that bragging the persons shouldn't be only deleted from Patreon but from Earth's surface.

Hey, I'm thinking about something. If I understood correctly (my English has improved since I changed my online translator, but I still have some progress to make), this guy is using the links found here, Mega obviously, probably google Drive etc.
So, if someone takes a closer look at theses accounts owners, they are honest pirates giggle who could potentially see their accounts suspended, or more. Great!
It's really these guys that sometimes make me want to stop making my modest contribution to the community

I remember back in 2017 when you were still using Juicyads as your ad network (instead Trafficjunky) you were making at least 1 grand per month, AND you were asking for donations of $250 per month for "server maintenance" because the ads were supposedly “covering only a portion of your server costs”. (it was public information and everybody could see how much you were making on Juicyads) Now you are making a few grands off donations alone (while only needing $800) and telling other how piracy for profit is bad. Good for you, Sam.

We don't "make a few grand", current server costs for all services under the F95 umbrella is over $1200 /m. Some months donations exceed the goal and any extra goes into a pot and pays for one off extras like server setup fees/upgrades and any custom xenforo addon development that isn't done by myself.

If we really wanted to profit we'd have more ad spots, force users to disable adblock, use ad notifications, popunders, use hosts with PPD/referral payments, private links for donators, etc. F95zone is a completely free site with no paywalls, and nobody on the staff takes a penny, nor would we want to.

Our dev team doesn't care if F95Zone is making money. Our view is that they have costs and expenditures just like every thing else. If they're making bank above and beyond that, good for them.

At the end of the day they aren't interfering with our revenue stream they're augmenting it and they deserve something for that work. F95 has helped developers like us grow. Most of our paying patrons found us on F95Zone and are community members. Without F95 we'd be paying someone to advertise for us.

This other butthole on Patreon though is diverting revenue from the devs and unlike F95, providing no services to anyone but themselves.

Just our ten cents.

As long as he's not selling it, I don't care. That just makes all of his work free advertising for us. We'll keep an eye on it though and see if he tries to find a way to monetize it.

There has to be an angle there though. Why else would he do it?

But as mentioned by other people, there are many websites like onlyhgames that earn by showing advertisements... So I do not see that as a big deal tbh.

It was just the patreon thing being very scammy, lying to people and get their money out of their ignorance but if someone wants to visit his blog/website and view his ads, good for him.
