you know what? the fact that incest is forbidden on patreon doesn't disturb me thaaaat much. it's just simple rewriting for the developer (using the prefix step- ^^) and a lil' modding so horny people can change it to real incest again . what bothers me the most ist the fact, that rape and beastiality are forbidden. jesus, that would mean, that almost all if not all hentai rpg games are forbidden.
famous makers like bbben or swegabe would have huuuge problems. and adorevia roundscape is full of forbidden stuff too, no way to rewrite everything there!

Thats true, even if you dont care for one thing they dont want, if you take the whole package of things they dont like, you can basically just stop doing anything sexual. Especially since they also mentioned not liking Blackmail and Mind Control, and I think Corruption also doesnt seem like a word they love.

really, it kinda scares me what might happen to the developers now. and i was so happy that with patreon there was at least a community platform to gather money, opinions and specialists for specific types (collaborating wasn't too rare on patreon). those guys need to eat and live under a shelter too. i doubt there are many of the devs out there who are living in hotel mama telling their mother: "ma, i need some money for some renderings that i wanna use for my porn game! without them i can't make the brother bang his sister properly!". so fuck, here goes a great opportunity for the LEGAL porn market to stand on its own feet (while you can still fucking get disgusting real snuff videos from russians in the dark net after paying them bitcoins or whatsoever). so instead of checking out the real pornos, where women can actually be forced to do it, they shut down porn that is drawn or animated where no woman is hurt in the process (because, how when the actual woman is made out of pixels ^^). - i simply don't get it.

Stupid politics... you open a porn site and type "mom" and you get hundreds of thousands of clips and films about mom and son, mom and daughter, son and aunt... etc. And nothing is done about that... even though it involves real people (that content is created by rich people, they state their real names in the production film, they get public awards ceremonies, mass-media exposure about a plan to go in orbit and shoot a porn film there), but when such content involves created and DRAWN characters it's all so forbidden and wrong, and FUCK YOU patreon...

I'll add to this that :
25% (don't remember the exact number) of them are games with incest/non-consensual sex/bestiality, so banned games.
The NSFW accounts in the top 1000 generate around $700.000 annual benefits for Patreon, which is around 8% of their total income (they expect $7.5 millions), for something like 30% of their income made by the top 1000. It's an estimation since a lot of creators just display the number of patreons ; I used a $8 by patreon for them, which seem to be the average in the top 1000.
So, 2% of their total income is made just by the banned games which are on the top 1000.

[Note: The numbers are given as is ; I made the calculations few days ago and they were a little more NSFW in the top 1000 at this time.]

...and it's not only Russia, there are lots of other countries that don't have such laws... and don't care for such content atm.

It seems like every clarification we get from Patreon agents is subtly different, which indicates to me they haven't explicitly explained what the rules mean on their end. This is obviously so they can keep MrDots and the other big dogs while gradually separating themselves from other adult content. Things are going to get weird going forward, kiddies.


America doesn't have laws against this shit either. Technically some of these games could run afoul of obscenity but that is only prosecuted in extremely rare cases. What's happening here is that Patreon sees more money in the future of a mainstream/non adult audience. It fucks devs over but sex workers are always the first ones on the spits when the moralizing starts.
