Working at the forge or helping Rosy make sense to take longer. And the more wheat you grind the longer that takes. I think planting/harvesting crops was left at no time for gameplay reasons, it's a porn game rather than a farming sim.That seems pretty scattershot. Has Tinkerer ever spoken on this matter or are these lengths of time so ingrained in the code at this point it'd be impossible/PITA to adjust? I mean I guess it's a good thing nothing in this game really has a time limit (that I'm aware of).
Places taking longer to reach also make sense. Vix's lair and the Kroggoth cave are both deep in the mountains, and the first time you go to the Swamps it says it takes hours to get there. The places that only take time when you leave them can be thought of as "closer/easier than an hour each way, but too far/difficult for no time."
I have no issue with potions taking an hour for each, alchemy isn't supposed to be quick. I think the nonstop potion-making with the recipe book was left in because setting it to boot you out when Fatigue got too high was a PITA.
However, there is an exploit for some of the long actions...
