your "star trek is just palette swapped humans" has one fallacy, the writers of Star trek were hippies so they created an universe where all species got along to a degree and despite having evolved on different planets, had almost identical societies..your argument is based on the fact that you consider orcs to be monsters when I already said that's not what a monster girl is.
when we decide if someone is a monster girl we have to look at the whole picture:
1) do they have inhuman physical characteristics?
2) do they pose a threat to humans on an individal level?
3) does their society differ much from humans if they have one?
4) how did they become what they are? was it evolution or a supernatural intervention?
